What putter did you just buy ?

Just bought a 2016 Scotty Select Newport M1 — a putter I have been after for quite some time. I cannot wait for it to get here and to get out there with it!

Lab Link.1 standard 34” / 69 degrees. Previous owner had a 1.5 press grip with stability shaft. I am a skittish, jittery putter in general, but this has been amazing for me. 
 

I really wanted to supplement with the Mezz that was here on the classifieds but I couldn’t message in time. Apparently there is a 1 message per day limit.

Is that stamped "HAKD MADE" in the cavity ... and "m177s" on the face? Looks like the "n" on the front might be a sideways "Z".

Interesting. On their website they don’t recommend using a press grip on the Link.

If you look really closely at “Mills”… the M is actually two upside down V’s, the I is a 1, the L’s are upside down 7’s, and the S is also upside down. And you’re correct about the sideways Z for an N.

Yes they didn’t recommend the press grip on the website. When I bought the putter from the guy locally, he had the press grip with stability shaft installed, but also had the original grip and shaft from Lab. I figured I would mess around with it and swap out the shaft once the press grip proved to be a problem.

 

Royals relief pitcher Dan Quisenberry once was quoted saying rather poetically that once he made his submarine/sidearm pitching style work, he realized that he had found a delivery in his flaw. 
 

Somehow with this putter, I think I may have found a stroke in my flaw. Cautiously optimistic.

I like to go on OfferUp and laugh at the insane prices on putters that have been used as a framing hammer.

They carry other brands on CPO, not just Cally/Odyssey.  Scotty's certainly do not last for long (got lucky I guess).  I saw a left-handed Phantom on there this morning per random search, but looks gone now.

Has anybody else fallen in love with the KBS CT Tour putter shafts? The problem is now ... when I find new putter, not only do I have to buy it, I have to reshaft and regrip it right away.

Calloway pre owned like new.  Showed my girlfriend this putter months ago when they had a big sale.  Never thought she’d get it for my birthday but apparently she ordered it right then.  Pretty much looks brand new except for a small nick on the bottom of the trail edge.  Really no signs of use.  Scotty is hitting the shelf.

Just trying decide whether to put in a CT Tour shaft or UST All-In graphite shaft….decisions, decisions.

I just bought a champions choice NP2 thinking it was a gamed putter because of the low price, but when it came, it still was wrapped in plastic. So now I'm not sure if I should open it and game it or keep it and save it for a special day.
