What putter did you just buy ?

Picked up a Ping G2 Tess in amazing shape. Just needs a new pingman grip and it's ready to go. Tried moving to a Spider X, but I keep coming back to simple works better for my stroke. Feels so solid.

Impulse WH Jailbird purchase from PGA superstore. I’ve been wanting to try the Jailbird but have historically hated the white hot insert. Might use it as a template to convert my Phantom 11 into something similar.

After playing an early 2000s ping B60 for forever, I am trying some modern "tech" - a 2ball ten wristlock from callway pre-owned (it's 39", I think I'm going to cut it down a couple inches and throw the wyndham clark grip on there) and an Odyssey Stroke Lab 7 (a seller on ebay has been dumping a ton - got mine for like 100 plus tax/shipping). I think the seven may technically be a women's putter.

I’ve previously tried a conventional length DF2.1 and I just couldn’t get the speed dialed in at all. It just felt too soft. This is up against my current gamer of a SC Phantom 5s, playing at 39” with 25g head weights.

lots of practice with it the past two days.  It seems promising.  The feel is fantastic.
 

But have used a Scotty 5.5 the past 2 years so I’m a bit nervous on the change   Going big with it. Putting it in play in the league playoffs tomorrow!

I'd been using a Super Select Golo 6 CB ... I was worried about going back to the Cameron, so I traded it in on the LAB. No going back now ... Burn the ships!

Well, I went the opposite,  my playoff round with it was just ok, didn't' miss anything short at all, but didn't make one putt in the 6 to 12 foot range and I usually make 1 or 2 of those a round.  Lost the match in scorecard playoff 😞

 

Put the Scotty in play yesterday during a scramble, as I'm generally the best putter in our group and I didn't want them freaking out with me having a new putter.  So of course I drained every fricking putt I looked at.   

 

The MEZZ had the shortest stay in my bag of any club I've ever owned and that's saying something.   Have one interested friend, but if he passes look for a BST post coming soon 🙂

My first round was exceptional ... Stroke felt very natural, no face rotation, putter was most point and shoot I've ever used. Today was most fun I've ever had putting ... Had a totally stress-free 67. We'll see if it's just the honeymoon phase, but the Lie Angle Balance definitely felt different.

Great round. Sounds like it worked for you.  I guess I’m the minority.  I didn’t hate it.  It was “fine” but the next round I went back to my gamer the past two years and had 28 outta vs 34 the previous day with the MEZZ.  I didn’t miss any stupid easy 2-4 footers.   But I didn’t make anything outside 6 to 8 feet and I usually get 2-3 at least of those a round. 
 

I am still very impressed and intrigued by what I saw from the revealer.

Went in to get fitted and expected a $500 charge.... walked away with a Rossie OG.  Even had one in the used section so less that $150 for the total visit.  Can't say that I've ever had that happen at a golf place before.

After watching some 2ndSwing fitting videos they kinda encourage you to grab a few putters off the floor to test. Which I think is great they can show if they do or don't work and even better if you grab the winner yourself.

2nd swing certainly seems to be the best of the “big box” used retailers. I have always had good experiences.

Hi. I'm new here. And relatively new to golf (2 years and haven't gotten further than 25 handicap).

 

I've bought two putters this year. Evnroll ER2 and Scotty Golo 6.5

 

Just love the scotty. Maybe it's a beginner friendly putter, but I just love it. Superb. 

 

But buying putters is an addiction thing isn't it? I already would like to buy the cleveland hb #5. 😆

I did NOT buy a putter, fortunately!

 

The Eleven S I bought earlier this summer has been nice but I could NOT adjust to the White Hot insert. My lag putting was poor and I didn't feel like I was getting enough feedback. 

 

Instead of paying $600+ for  Toulon LeMans I went the spry-evo route and ordered a milled aluminum insert from him. The added weight of the metal insert should also bring the putter head weight up to the range I like. For now it's back to my Gen2 PXG Closer which has been surprisingly great over the last three seasons.
