Where are you playing today? (Phx/SDale)

I'm always interested in where other people from my area are playing. There are just so many courses to choose from.

 

From the posts, it sounds like people only play WeKoPa or Southern Dunes during the summer. These might be the only that are posting.

 

This weekend I have a tee time at Dobson Ranch and considering Silverado or Camelback (Padre) for the next day. Just lookin for the cheap deals, not the best golfer (yet).

 

Where are you guys playing today or this weekend?

Southern Dunes in the summer is brutal. Not just the heat but the flies are unbearable. Great track though.

i live out towards goodyear, pretty much playng raven or golf club estrella both nice interesting courses plan on heading out to scottsdale for few rounds

tpc is 40 dollars unlimited play tempted to do at some point this summer

so many top courses to try and play

TPC Stadium is closed until November

Not playing this weekend glued to TV and US Open. I do have a lesson with John Kostis out at Grayhawk Sat morning prior to the start of US Open Coverage.

I live like 2 miles from wildfire and just have never gone. Think cuz its a shorter course, and I am killing my driver right now. Though all the par 3s would be a good challenge for me. Looks like a beautiful course. Let us know how it goes.

Really? 6850(& Par 71) and 7150 are too short for you? You should probably quit posting on these forums and be plying your trade on the tour.

Jeez guy calm down. I guess I thought they were closer to 6000. This isn't some douchebag thread.

What I didn't mention I guess, is that I'm really loving my driver right now and a shorter course may not allow for many drives. Didn't mean I'm some badass.

The par 3 courses are actually tougher for me. Have you calmed yourself yet?

I love the bunkering at wildfire (faldo) and the shorter length is a nice change up.

It does take driver out of your hands on a few holes but it's no big deal.

I made a list of places I want to check out this summer, ones I haven't played it ones I haven't seen in years

Orangetree
Legend trail
Lookout mountain
Red mountain

JMO but don't waste your time on Red Mountain, Lookout Mountain or Orange Tree unless you just want to see something different (but not very good). My club will be doing some work this summer and some weekends will have a hole closed because they want to be done before the rest of the membership returns from their summer homes (we only have ~40 members that live in the area full time) so I'll likely be playing at a few different places once that starts in a few weeks. We can definitely do some sort of get together, perhaps at Flagstaff Ranch if people are willing to drive.

No quality public golf unfortunately.

And I know it is blasphemy but I like Pine Canyon more than Forest Highlands Canyon. Both are better than Flagstaff Ranch but it is still a very good golf course.

Ill go play Orangetree with you always a nice change of pace for the right price. Par 4's are all kinda similar but fun track.
I would play Ambiante after the punch any softness you can get in those greens right now you should take lol

Yeah not worth it, I mean it is kinda fun because it is totally scoreable if you are playing well, every par 5 is reachable even with less than driver off the tee.
