-Spider ZT - exceeded expectations

-Bought heads from Takomo of 201 and 101T - both 4-PW of course - got them shafted up with PX 6.0 (same shaft I got fit for and have had in all prior irons sets going back last several years)

 

So far 201 look to be the new gamers, they both spin pretty low (vs. recent sets - '21 & '23 T100 and '23 P7MB), but I hit the ball very high and 201 launch 2* lower than 101T - all pics, 101T on the left and 201 on the right.  Both models have great feel - certainly the 201 are classic buttery soft forged but 101T also feel very good and smooth.  Good for good, 201 are flying straighter and 10-15 yards longer than past gamers I mentioned above - they're 2* stronger than what I usually play but also lower spin so combo of those two factors.  I need to get more time in with the 101T.

I pre-ordered the Phantom 9.2r and got the call to pick up on Wednesday morning. As soon as I took it home, my keyboard window shopping took me to a site that made me fall for essentially the same putter as the 9.2r.  It arrived at my doorstep today.  You be the judge… but I kept only one

Cobra King MB/CB flow set off the BST. Irons feel great. CB and MB top lines are indistinguishable at address.

Haven’t played in a year and hardly at all for the last 10 years(really more like 20). I gave my last full set of irons and best bag to my son last year. We were talking recently and I have the bug to get back started playing some. So new Jones bag and building a set for myself; Maltby TE+ is the first 3, still have a bunch of putters.

Had my first range session with it today. Overall, I can already see improvements.

 

It's very difficult to hit straight, off that bat, for sure. It starts left and hooks even further off line (RH).

 

That said, after just a few balls, most shots were hit solidly, just left. By the end of the session, I was hitting some straighter ones.

 

I was alternating between the DST and my 7, 8, and 9 irons.

 

Will come back with more!

Finished my set of fairways with a 5 year old new in plastic 5 wood, the only one I've ever seen on Ebay with a stock 70g shaft. Most came with a 50g shaft.

And added a new headcover for the mini driver from Sunfish. Shout out to Sunfish for exceptional customer service.
