Clearance golf apparel at Dick's 50% off

Even though they have been in the news lately for not so golf friendly stuff, I went by my local store and the clearance golf apparel was 50% off. My store had a pretty good selection of styles. Figured I would pass on the word to help anyone else!

Interesting, where did you hear that? I'm guessing they would just rely on GG for the golf market (even though that market apparently isn't working out for them lately).

I hope not! My town has a dicks and an edwin watts and those are the ONLY two places to find golf stuff.

At gg. Got 3 oakleys for under $20. Decent selection and could have gotten more but wanted to compare to dicks

Ok dicks was pretty picked over. But found a couple more shirts for 20 (nike/ua) and one that ended in .93 rang up $10. Neither gg or this dicks had any shorts reall. Just the 30 or 40

Gonna hit one more dsg on my way home

Just went to the local GG and they had this deal. Not a bunch of stuff in size large. Lots of women's clothes though.

Same with my local one. There was actually very little golf clothing in the store compared to what they used to have. Everything was crammed into the area with the clubs.

Maybe it only applies to certain stores? I know the one here in shreveport had a huge amount of overstock. They had 3 to 4 circular racks of men's shirts alone. Good mix of Nike, Puma, and UAs.

Picked up some under armor shorts, a few under armor and nike polos @ 50% off. Got a few other nike polos at 75%. Pretty sweet deals.

I'd assume they send a lot of this stuff to their busy stores and let them clear it out. Not sure how their business model works (or doesn't work) though.

My local Dick's has been running a buy 1 get the other 50% off promo for awhile now, and this is for all golf apparel. You just have to get the same brand and it applies, so you can get shirt/shorts shirt/belt etc. The clearance was only 25% off when I checked but that was a few days ago, might be 50% off now but the selection wasn't great.

My wife got me one for Fathers Day and none of 3 stores by me have the slightest hint of something I'd want. In fact, I stopped by the one nearest to me around noon and they didn't even have a Mens Clearance rack of Golf or Athletic apparel. I don't want anything there

In almost all cases, no. Some have claimed to, but they are different entities.

The store in Pensacola has a decent selection left. This deal is even sweeter if you use a $10 off of $50 coupon which can be had easily by taking a survey listed on a Dick's receipt.

ya, they did the same thing here...

They take the ginormous MSRP... Put a bright red "sale" sticker on it that usually works out to 10% off (MSRP). Then they do the BOGO %50 off..

So, two Puma shirts still run 180 (Yes, MSRP is $90) -18 -45 = $117. Two shirts for $117 is a sale? So, it's all still sitting on the rack. The only balls on sale are the normal junk balls that are always "on sale".

Who knows, maybe they're planning on keeping the floor space here. Or it may be the store itself. When all the other stores were dumping belly putters for pennies, they were "on sale" at this store for 20% off MSRP.

The *only* thing I've bought at Dicks are football/baseball stuff for my kids after I procrastinate and everyone else is out and I can't get it shipped in time... And the one time they did Golf Balls for 25%. The golf balls were a good deal. Oh ya.. And Gatorade... We'll pick up a Gatorade when we walk through the store.
