Bettinardi experts please help ease my mind..

Don't care about value. I just want to know when it was made. Reason for what seems to be a limited release of 230 pieces. And what exactly it is. I have looked and searched the Bettinardi archive, registry, ebay......

 

The face milling is circular not the honeycomb shape. Actually, I just want to find another one pictured somewhere....anywhere. No search criteria has been successful.

 

Please, someone help end my search for info......please!

That's the thing. I have found similar and yes, I asked before but threads die and asking if it was valuable was a no no.

I just want to know the history and what exactly it is.

I will reach out to Bettinardi but since I have thus forum as a resource, I started here first.

This putter is un-named. Not Raptor, not Miracle, not BB1, just 1999, 230 PCS, Nitron 303 S.S.

There are two bettinardi distributors on the forum, one of whom responded in your value thread. Reach out to them.

OP ...I would say since your not getting an answer here that its a pretty safe bet what you have is both Rare and valuable.... I would contact Betternardi directly and inquire about sending it in to be authenticated . I am sure that will get you a definitive answer on how valuable it is... Im not sure why the Value question was jumped on so quickly in your other thread.. Its been discussed in length on some other current threads in the putter forum....Seems like that happens at times if and when posters aren't familiar with the topic subject. Anyway just go to the source and im sure you can get some answers.. then when you find out please come back here and post what they say. Some of us are curious too and would love to hear.

It says 1999 on the putter doesn't it? Why do you have reason to believe it wasn't made then?

Thank you for you reply. I sent an email via the Bettinardi website.

I will certainly post their replies and info. Cool that it may have some interesting back story.

The registry shows no example of this putter. It does show a Nitron SS but not with these inscriptions or the copper insert.

It was probably after they started doing the registry. I think it started in 2004 but I'm probably wrong. If it says 230 pcs on the sole, it's most probably 1 out of the 230 pieces. Probably the second or third year after Bob stopped milling for Scotty Cameron.

I admit I know nothing about most of this. But I do know what I like and this putter is pure sex on a stick.

Putter was known as the Rapture. The 1-20 DASS started in 1997; in 1999 there was the 230pcs run another 1-40 run that had honeycomb milling etc.

That was brought up and they are very similar. Any idea why mine went un-named? Very similar with slight differences. No sight line or dot on mine and a polished neck that has an open unmarked channel on the front of it.

The registry is a mess and has been for some time. The putter is legit.

The registry is and always will be a work in progress...it is difficult to try to post document 15-20 years of putters when you don't have them all in hand and when as lengths of time go by you forget why/when or what exactly was done in what finish for what reason for which person. I know the Bettinardi Studio is trying its best with what we have at our disposal but to realistically recall every variation of every putter ever made by Bettinardi is a daunting task to say the least as you can imagine
