Try using compressor and pop it back off with a little air. If that doesn't work then work a coat hanger down in and pour some solvent in beside the coat hanger and work it around while adding more solvent. it should come off then.

They make a V groove grip remover, get one of those, wedge it under the grip, shoot some solvent down, no problem. I've pulled fully installed SS grips no problem with this method.

When I removed a superstroke I dumped some solvent inside the grip then used compressed air. I went in small increments of air pressure. Started out at 20psi, added some solvent, went to 40 and started to budge a bit. Added more solvent and went up to 60 and it came off easily. If you use air be careful and start slow. Try to hold the grip in your off hand to keep it from blowing up. I ruined a brand new iomic grip because the first thing I read online was someone using 100psi to install/remove grips and it blew a big bubble.

We clamped that sucked in a vice and yanked on the steel shaft, after shooting enough solvent to drown a horse it came out easily. Customer is happy and I recovered from a rookie mistake.

If you use a 10-12" length of 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" pvc drain pipe (depending on grip diameter) you minimize the chances of putting a bubble in the grip. Slipping it on about an inch or two past the butt end of the grip allows you to twist easily. Blew hundreds of grips off this way...Think we used to use a beat up length of hollow curtain rod in the old shop back in the day, lol.

I've seen enough broken PVC in my life that using it in this manner scares me. Not so much for you, but someone else who might read this and then go out in ther garage with the psi cranked up. There are better alternatives. A braided water line scares me a lot less.

[/quote]Best I've found is polycarbonate (Lexan) tube available from places like McMaster Carr. Plus it's clear so you can see what is going on with the grip expansion.

That's exactly what I have in the garage ... You can pick it up at Home Depot on the cheap.
