At $109 seems high priced. Is it worth the money. If used properly, will it produce/train more lag in the golf swing?

Have had one for two weeks now. Has greatly improved my tempo and produc d much more consistent ball striking. Stopping me from being quick from the top. Great pre round warmup. I don't hit range balls before rounds and with the whip no further need. Carry in my bag. People like to swing. Guy today swung it after his tee shot on par 5. He absolutely nutted his 3 wood with his next swing. Wore off after a few more swings but he planned on buying one. Not magic and takes a little time each day but produces results. Worth it to me. Can't wait to see improvement next year.

Worth every penny. My whole life Ive battled throwing the club from the top and a steep downswing. After about an hour of figuring it out how to use it, I learned to feel the shaft load at the top and a much better transition move.

I should add, I took ten lessons last spring. As the summer progressed, I was frustrated I wasn't seeing real progress. The Orange Whip was the final piece of the puzzle.

I'm 5'9" and I bought the golden model, it's perfect for my body size.

The only thing that sucks about it is: I like to walk, so keeping it in my bag is out of the question. Before a round I use it in the parking lot, then leave it in the car.

It is great to swing but it will throw your timing off if you don't swing it for a bit. Don't try to swing it just let it swing itself. If that makes sense. It is great for warm up if you swing both sides easy. It is for stretching and warming up if nothing else. I love mine and have had really good results when it comes to not firing with the transition and easing into the shot. If that makes sense

i think it works on your timing and a smoother transition more than anything, but it's good for working on your path and conditioning your muscles.

109 bucks means much different things to different people but I really like my orange whip and can't think of another dozen gadgets I've tried that I would rather have.

If I did this all over again, it would be the first and only thing I bought.

I just got one and so far I like it. Just for kicks I swung an iron right after I did a few sets with it and I swear it felt like the shaft was bending at the top of my backswing!??

Everyone I know that has the orange whip does the same thing: they mindlessly swing it about 27 times or so before playing/practicing, then rave about what an awesome training aid it is, then proceed to play with the exact same swing with literally no difference from before getting this so called awesome training aid.

Had one a couple years ago, and it definitely helped with tempo (no Magic Bullet), but I overdid it and it started some wrist issues which took a while to clear up. Be careful and, as was stated earlier in the thread, don't swing it hard - take it slow and easy.

I received the Orange Whip for Christmas. The 26th was a warm day here, 52*F, so I took the whip outside and gently worked my way up to full swings. After completing the sequence I grabbed my wedge to hit a few shots. I experienced the same feeling. It felt as if the shaft was bending at the top of my swing. My tempo/transition certainly improved for the half dozen full swing wedges that I hit. I can't wait to try this thing out when golf weather returns in New England. Unfortunately, we are getting hit with snow right now.

The weather's not much better in NJ. It's warm but too wet today and then it's going to get pretty cold.

Is the orange whip really any different than a donut swing weight placed on a driver? I haven't tried a side by side comparison but I have tried the orange whip in the store and it doesn't seem that much different than the donut - which I do have. I would like to get an opinion from someone who has both. $9.00 vs $109.00 is significant.

before I bought the wip I was 150 carry . Now ( after 3 days) I hit 393 yards on trackman .

This is a miracle , no lessons no instructions . Just 30 swings with the wip

Love it - hard to find the OW second hand because so few actually let their go. I can feel a difference in my swing after using it, whether that is weight and flexibility training or actually the loading of a looser shaft I am not sure, but I definitely strike better after using it.
