Miura Giken MB-5005

Is anyone gaming Miura Giken MB-5005?

 

Or tried them before?

 

Just want to get some feed back in term of feel, forgiveness and size of the heads.

Forgiving for a blade even though the flight characteristics are more like a MC/CB. The feel is different from the famed Miura feel, it's difficult to describe in words, if you have owned Miura before you will notice the difference. Head size is visually the same as the MB5003 with just a touch more offset.

Thanks for your input. When you say it feels different from other Miura's? What do you mean by that? It's that for Good different Miura feel or bad different Miura Feel?

[/quote] maybe it's due to the cavity, but the contact feels hollow instead of the real solid condensed feel of other Miura blades. I am not saying it's bad just a little different

cb 57's have gotten awesome reviews and amazing grind im told

I tried it about two weeks ago. It's very easy to get it up in the air. The demo I tried was shaft with a C-Taper Regular and still able to get nice high ball flight. Distance wise is similiar to my Miura BB 1957. Feel wise is dense (definatly not hollow).... typical Miura feel IMO.

Surprisingly very forgiving... tried it along side MG2007 as well and both I find similar in forgiveness.

Edgolf sums up my comments exactly. Chris at Tourspec prefers the setup better than the CB57. I am also surprised at the distance I am getting.

I am having trouble of what to make of these clubs. do they play like a blade or more like other Miura cavities?(1007, 202?)

[/quote]That is a good way to put it my thoughts exactly. I have a good friend who is a Miura dealer and I hit his demos all the time on the range. I have never gamed them though I cant afford them. I love the feel of the 1957 blades nothing else feels like them to me.

I'm sure this head plays very well but the aesthetics certainly don't appeal to me. The shape of the "cavity" is so ugly to my eye it is just a total fail to me.
To my mind play a cavity back or a blade but this hybrid misses the mark. The emperor has no clothes!

Thie thing about Miura is there cb's feel as good as their blades IMO.

Not sure what the design thoughts on this one were, but do think they missed the mark somewhere along the way.

I'd certainly game/bag them, but they'd have to be a gift to do so (wouldn't spend the money)

I have a set and really, really love playing them. They look great at set-up and get surprising distance. They have a soft/dense feel and for a blade, very forgiving. The irons are definitely keepers for me.

I've only had a few indoor sessions with my new MB-5005's, but I love them so far. To me, they feel just a tad softer than my Epon AF 302's, which is saying a lot. But so far, my 302's are more forgiving than the MB-5005's.

Possibly the best Miura irons 5005 mb.

Super soft feels like no other

Miura is a different type of feel, It’s like hitting with a soft lead absorbing soft with solid strikes with muted feel.

Personally love the way it looks

5005 mb are my third set

first set was the CB 202 straight neck

Second set 1957 CB
