Golf Pride Victory Grips

Does anyone know of a source for these old grips? Specifically, the .580 ribbed cord grips?

 

I realize that these have been out of retail production for a long time, but there is still a tour stock supply. Anyone have access to those tour issue grips?

I believe I saw some on the BST a while back. I seem to recall that they were from Harrington's stash.

Vijay Singh has a stock of about 500. Somehow I do not believe they are for sale.

Not a perfect match, but you can get Crossline Cord Ribbed and UTx Ribbed grips straight from Lamkin here:

There was a set of the cords on ebay a few weeks ago. I almost picked them up, but didn't. One set is a short term fix and doesn't solve the problem. I need a lifetime supply or a product that isn't discontinued.

There really is an untapped market for some proper cord grips. It seems there are about 100 members here wishing for them. Lamkin / golf pride / other grip manufacturer are you listening?? Make us a good cord grip please...

Actually it looks like there's still some out there. The seller "[url="http://myworld.ebay.com/cmfcenterprises/"]cmfcenterprises[/url]" has a few sets of them somehow. Different than the listing I saw before.

Thing is with any discontinued grip is they could be a month from being dead and you won't know it until they're on your doorstep.

Not even close to what? The NDMC that gets waxy on the bottom half within weeks of installation? The Tour Velvet Cord that goes on incredibly thin? I acknowledge that grips are a very personal thing. Lamkin has no less than five cords to choose from and they last far longer than GP's offerings.

I use the lamkin crossline cords. They're ok. Far from great. You have to hand pick them out of the bin. Some have way less cord than others. Even then there are patches of rubber on the sides with no cord, and the top end has little cord. After some scrubbing with coarse sand paper they get a little bit furry, but not nearly as good as they COULD be.

Thanks for looking. Unfortunately, those are not cord grips. I figure that if I am going to search for obscure and rare grips, I might as well be picky, right?

To all- I appreciate the suggestions. Lots of good ones. It sounds like it will be very difficult to find a large amount of the specific grip I'm looking for, especially considering the unknown condition of a grip as old as the ones I am seeking.

I will probably go the route of those tour issue ribbed Lamkin options.

i would not buy any victory grips . they didnt age well back in the day when they were being made and 25 years later they will be falling apart . the full cords last till they get petrified-then they get slick
