That's a double edged sword there! You have those that do something one time, so are convinced they can do it every time. And you have those that share something they are proud they have done once, but people run them down because it seems unlikely. All in all, factor x happened once, and thats all anyone can and should take away from these things. I noticed this in the "longest drive ever" thread.

Now the second question out of that is whether its true or not, the only thing more DB'ish than calling someone a liar on the internet is actually lying on the internet.

Oh and to answer your question the second one wouldn't be a passive brag because 310 on WRX really isn't that impressive, c'mon man

I think it has to do within the context of how you mention distance. There are obvious times where distance has no place in the sentence, other than to brag about it. Other times it has a place.

Since I'm the one who stated this initially, I will clarify for at the very least, what I meant.

Calling someone out (or me) is fine in my book, people need some help keeping their feet on the ground sometimes, and doing so does not make you a troll. It's the level of condescension some people use towards people they've never met, and know nothing about. I'm all for constructive criticism, poking fun (I make fun of myself all the time) and all that, but just because someone can play a round of golf and shoot ten strokes better than you, doesn't give anyone a right to be a pri**. And maybe it's different to others who have encountered this issue, and maybe they are genuinely sensitive about their golf game, everyone here loves the game obviously, I just personally wouldn't lose any sleep over these things. It just bothers me when people talk down to other people because they can't play golf as well, even if this is a golf forum.

Even to the people who have been less than respectful towards me, I'd love get a chance to pick their brains and get advice on getting better at the game, as long as they aren't as pompus as they come across on here.
