get that at a bakery in downtown Seal Beach.....The Mizuno Bakery
is what it should have been called....if it was owned by golfers.

I wonder if there actually is a Mizuno Bakery somewhere in the world.

Just learned that I got lucky when I started posting in the Instruction forum....that could of ended badly...but I have grown to have VERY thick skin when it comes to most things.

I like the idea of a live WRX chatroom. I'm a member on a whisky forum and there is a live chatroom there.

Boy ain't that the truth Chuck. If you don't already have some
humility it's a good place to learn it but that's one of the great
things about golf anyway. It teaches humility to the willing.

It's kind of a fun exercise to ponder whose really on the other
end of your screen if you don't already know. It could be the

When I first joined, I never knew there were so many bas a$$, internet keyboard ninjas ready to tell someone their opinion was worthless because they have less than 100 feedback or XX # of posts and didn't play to handicap X.

These days, I'll read a thread that I have no interest in when I see some of the hilarious dudes above have posted something just because I want a good laugh and usually get it. I love seeing guys combat some of the negativity on here with humor and thinking outside the typical WRX box.

I always love the dichotomy of the guy on wrx with 5 full bags and a backup bag looking to find that extra 3 yards to go from a 2 cap to a 1 and the guy I see in a Sunday scramble playing with 20 year old pings, has 9 total clubs in his bag that's held together with a bungee cord that has to bum 2 beers from me on 16 because he already drank his 12 pack on the front 9(no cooler mind you, just put an actual 12 pack in the cart). We're all chasing something, it's usually just not the same thing.

I don't know if I could play in jeans. It seems like they'd be pretty uncomfortable.

Most of the courses here don't allow it, so I think that's why it always seems like people are getting killed for it on here. Its not something you see often, and if you do, its usually a guy who has no belt, a t shirt and some clubs from goodwill. Again...he has every right to play as I do, but when I was introduced to the game 4 1/2 years ago, it was by an uncle who is 70 and told me to do things the 'right way.' For him, a lifelong member of multiple country clubs, that meant dressing accordingly, paying attention to pace of play, etc.

Some of it can be pretty stuffy, but I've always picked up with some of the 'jeans' crew on a quick weekday round and had a blast. They weren't any good at golf and didn't care to be. They were playing because they enjoyed it. I think we could probably all use a little more of that in our games. I know I could.

I watched a guy in jeans shoot 2 under last weekend. Playing in jeans means you have a certain skill set that I don't possess. I require the maximum amount of air flow and circulation for "my caddy" as is humanly possible.

I completely understand when someone doesn't like or agree with jeans. And that's fine, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I respect that.

It was just shocking some of the things that w ere said in that 70+ page thread. A lot of it was way across the line.


And DP, I always though Noob was for somone new also. Learn something new every day.
