Very germain to the topic. I recall once when I lived in Cali, I got a mega vente super dark roast at Pete's Coffee and Tea, and headed out to the range before a round, and literally barely made contact with the ball. Went out to play, and the same. Probably shot a 60 on the front 9. On the back 9 I started to calm down as my liver metabolized the caffeine, but that was a definite 'note to self'.

So, no, I don't do caffeine anymore after that debacle. For some reason, my brain is just twitchy. Sometimes, as I pull the club back, I can almost hear a tiny voice emanating from the back of my brain saying, 'hit it NOW!'........'hit it NOW!'.....'NOW!!!!!'....'NOW!!!' before I have arrived at the top of the BS. Is there a way to kill that little voice?

There is and it is multi step process. Collect water from old tree stumps and drink only this water for a month. Every other day make tea using chicken gizzards and this water. At bedtime wrap your neck in bacon and cover your toes with salted herring. Do these things for a month plus take a road trip to thief river falls Minnesota during January and play 18 holes in shorts. You will no longer have that little voice .
glk you are genius and demented all at once. I still have a technical question though: Canadian bacon or US bacon, and will that choice affect my ball flight? I'm concerned about the US bacon staining my pillows, plus given the immenent Canadian invasion, the last thing I want is to be caught with a blanket of US bacon around my neck, right? Those Canucks are merciless...

Natural applewood smoked center cut extra thick from Costco is preferred. Canadian bacon is not bacon nor Canadian. It is that disgusting meat found on those Hawaiian pizza with pineapple. Rather have chicken on pizza than that stuff.

Chorizo Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

SSsssssshhhhh, don't let Thug know you like chorizo!
Huh? Did I miss something? I'm jiggy with chorizo. But since you brought it up...

Spending the week in DC. The wife watches Rachel Maddow a lot (very liberal political tv analyst), and one day Rachel referenced some legislation as 'just more Tortilla Coast legislation'. So Mrs Thug was like, 'wtf does that mean?', and looked it up, and Tortilla Coast is a little Mexican resaurant near the Capitol that is a favorite hangout of conservative legislators, and she found that the reviews were over the top. We went there out of curiosity when she came on work travel with me a year ago, and it truly is the best Mexican food north of the border IMO. They have some political memorabelia on the walls and downstairs is the actual basement meeting room where much of our country's laws are adjudicated. I just had lunch there today with a new hire co-worker of mine, and he concured that it was the best Mexican he has ever had.
Ya, the memory goes first............

Just a little tease, lol, about a previous post of yours about threads
getting to the point of.....

"I had chorizo last night"

"I hate chorizo, it gives me the runs"

Glad you like chorizo Thug!

Were the tortillas freshly made at the Tortilla Coast?

I like the analogy. Tortillas are simple, you know what you get...
as opposed to the sausage some make in D.C.; where you have
to eat it to find out what's in it. :cheesy::cheesy:

Ah, now I get it. I actually have a bunch of foods that I love/hate. I love them as they are going down, but hate them as they are coming out! So, it's one of those 'oooo, should I make the sacrifice to have a bit of yummy gratification?' I hate getting old.....

Holy crap Rad, you have a memory like a steel trap.

Yup, homemade tortillas and chips, and their guac was unreal. I have been to Mexico numerous times and this place rates. If you are ever driving through, find a place to park your rig and take the metro there.

I'm TOOLed again. Yes, love guac! I'll even just peel an avocado and
eat it. Love home made chips! For me the best chips and salsa are
served with the chips freshly made and warm and the salsa freshly
made as well. Most of the chips and salsas found at grocery stores
are imposters.

I haven't been to Mexico in years. We used to run down to TJ and
Ensenada....but not to eat, lol, and many many years ago. Lots
of good Mex in the southwest. Hard to find it in the east.

Can't truck a truck inside the beltway in DC unless have a delivery.
It's a no no. Will arrest you and impound the truck. Last time I
was at the Capitol was '82. Nothing I do takes me there so just
haven't been back. :D

Yea, their chips usually arrive at the table still warm out of the fryer. When we first ate there, I was incredulous that I was eating this kind of Mexican in DC! Unbelievable. Yes, downtown DC is definitely unfriendly for trucks, makes me wonder how they get all of the commodities into that area....

Small trucks, lol. Big cities and big trucks don't mix well. We
refused to go to NYC after a few trips there. Nothing freaks a
truck driver out more than driving in a big city with narrow
streets and a multitude of ways to get lost and trapped.

Not much better than a perfect avocado. Not much worse than some of the bad ones I seem to get more and more these days. Such a disappointment to open up one that you paid good money for and have nasty black stuff in there with that sweetish off taste and all those fibrous veins. It’s no wonder people don’t like avocados if that’s what they first get. We grew our own when I was a kid and my wife is from Fallbrook Calif. the avocado capital of the world. I don’t remember getting bad ones back then. I confess I’m confused. Why are the avocados so bad now?

The only avocados that are good are Hass avocados. If you buy
those "other ones" good luck, lol, with those "fibers" and such.

Years ago one of my sisters had a huge Hass avocado tree at
her house. What a difference between those and store bought.

I swear I would sh*t green for a few days after a visit, lol.

Aren't onions the basic ingredient of Mexican food?

Where everything else is added to taste and/or recipe?

Cuban food, yes, onions galore. Mexican food, depends.

Pico de Gallo has lots onions. Normal salsa, no onions

and especially no vinegar. Vinegar in salsa is like chicken

on pizza. No No No.

Tonight was my youngest daughter's birthday.
She turned 20. I'm getting old.
She wanted hibachi. Yum yum

Cilantro, Si senor!!

Salsa = tomatoes(or tomatillos), peppers and cilantro, touch of
lime juice and a few seasonings, if desired. I love cilantro!!

Tell your daughter happy B day from the WRX gang! Back in the
70s used to go to Benihana frequently. Don't remember if I
have actually had hibachi, though I've cooked on one, lol. Too
small, give me a grill!!

I don't believe the Spaniard planned to bounce the ball under the goalie's leg into the net after he threw it under the defenders armpit! - no way - total luck -he could have 100 tries and not do that again. But he did it once.
Yep. That wasclearly a last secod hit or miss-give-it-all-you-got shot and he pulled it off. Deliberately going to the las second to prevent Denmark from having a last attack. That is keping it cool.

I am honestly a bit touched that you saw the game.

That's the same as Benihana but they grilled it. Fancy knifework
but no hibachi that I saw.

We went to the one in Marina Del Rey in Calif. They had pics
of all the famous people who ate there on the wall.

Lets get this thread back on topic... COI.

Does "chunking it" or "hitting it fat" mean hitting the ground before the ball to a greater or lesser degree?
Yes, hitting ground first is hitting it fat, chunking it, laying the sod
over it. Yes, I know that problem well since I do it frequently with
a wedge in my hands.

The cure is to hit the little ball before the big ball I am told!! haha
Oh, if only it were that simple.
