I'd have to hit driver wedge just to get to your tee ball.

We played with one of the local bombers one day and we hit our
drives and go out there and one of my buds says "look you outdrove
Mike". I said "ya, no matter that he teed off 80 yards behind us, lol.
My ball was maybe 10 yards ahead of his, LMAO, and I think that
was the ONLY hole he hit his 2nd shot before any of us!

Well it was 45* when I teed off and 53* when I got done. I was first off and walked 18 by myself. Played in 2 1/2 hours. No penalty strokes and played the same ball all day. One 3 putt for bogey and one double. 42-41 for 83. Didn't hit one drive on the screws. In fact, I bet I averaged about 220 off the tee. LMAO. Sigh!!!
I hit my 3 hybrid over 230.......TWICE!!! Sigh! Short game touch was off but putting wasn't bad just didn't make anything.

Not ecstatic. Not too disappointed. Sleepy time now. I'll try to at least dream of hitting my driver well. Teehee.

No one like to be falsely patronized. The truth is the truth even if it hurts a little to hear it. But in all honesty that was a fabulous outing. The longer lighter drivers of today require a little more patience before they start to come around. The putts not sinking are a pure function of ring-rust. There will be some gradual and incremental improvement with the occasional tough round sprinkled in as you fatigue and bounce back.... but that was a nice solid outing marked by playing one ball and avoiding a half-dozen blowup holes. All in all it doesn't get much better than that. Just a little more time and improvements in the weather.... you will be brag-posting before you know it!

Got to run.... just stopped by for a peek here during a break.... If I peddle hard I might get to go for a test drive myself.... fingers crossed!

Nothing wrong with that the 1st time out this season! My biggest barrier
to shooting better scores is putting. I don't mean to say that other parts
of my game don't fail me but I think 3 putts hurt me the most followed by
failures to get up and down when I miss the green, which can be helped
by draining a few longer par saves each round.

Gotta find a way to get those par savers in the hole if I ever want to
break 80 again, lol. On a par 72 course you only have 7 shots to play
with to keep it under 80. That's not a lot when you think about it over
18 holes! I have to get a least a birdie or 2 to have a chance!

I'm an 80s golfer right now who can creep into the 90s if I get careless.
That's just the plain facts. My short game and putting will continue to
suffer probably until the day comes when I have time to play and
practice more. I may get the odd round below 80 when I get a few
lucky breaks but that's about it for now.

If you can shoot 83 in the cold and with rust in your game you'll be
back into the 70s real quick it seems to me MC. Glad you had a good
time! The driver will come around as the weather warms up.

Same ball is a good goal kind of like no three putts. I get it done from time to time but sometimes only with the help of somebody's ball retriever

Kinda related to Goldeye Bond girls, in recent years they approved a Russian visa waiver for Guam, so we've been getting a good amount of Russian tourists and let me tell you the Russian women I've met are both friendly and insanely gorgeous! Russians seem to like it here, they stay like 3 months at a time which our local economy greatly appreciates for sure. Most I've met are really nice people, and they almost always speak decent English.

Lol.....I play courses without a lot water. It takes work to lose a ball around here.
Don't get me wrong, I've done it!! If I played one of those RTJ courses it would've
been much worse.

No birdies today either. Pars and bogeys. Driver will come around. Cold and not
hitting it in the middle of the face cost me. Irons were the same way. 2 club difference
than normal. I knew that going in so I was hitting more club from the first hole. Lol. I
didn't want to hurt myself. I'm not old but I'm no spring chicken!!

I'll get there. Thanks for the positive comments. Would like to get back into the low 70s
on a regular basis this year. My goal is to break 70. It may be a little unrealistic right
now but I had good game before and I'm going to try to put the work in to make my swing
more solid and reliable.
