Went from a Bullseye to a Yes Pippi, and never regretted it. Played at stock specs and can be had for 40 bucks or so in really good condition. I was looking at the Bettinardi BB43 and SC Newport 2.6 as well, but the Pippi's price was a big factor. It also rolled the ball much better than the Newport 1.5 I tried (couldn't find a 2.6).

That said, the Method Mod 90 was on my list too, and I likely would've gotten it with our school discount had I been able to demo one. Just happened to find a Pippi in a small store in The Villages, and never looked back.

A lot of guys who look for center shafted putters look at scotty 2.6. It is a toe down putter that swings like an 8802 and has the toe hang to prove it. Especially the studio select newport version. The dark finish select has less toe hang.

And seemore fgt and m2 models are toe down also

I play a Scotty Golo s5 - very nice, slight toe hang; also have a Newport 2.6 (more toe hang)
I have looked at the Betti BB43, (face balanced) but don't own one, but love its look and feel
Also looking at Genuine SCG Northwood center shafted

I am a big fan of the BB43. Keeps coming back into the bag.

Yes, I have the White Hot Pro #2 CS. Have used it since it came out, together with a couple SeeMore's I've been using for years. I like the #2 a lot. Looks and feels nice and even though there's not that much too it technically, it has good balance for my stroke. Easy to aim for me as well, just a simple looking stick.

All my putters are either 34.5" with 70* lie angle, or 34" with 71* lie angle. I go in periods with which I find more comfortable (how close to the ball I stand).

However, I just ordered my first offset putter in years. A Ping Scottsdale TR B60. Don't know, I have always thought of myself as a good putter, but realistically, I haven't really been putting all that great lately. Think I just need a change, look at something very different. The B60 performed great when I demoed it, just tracked my path very well with no wobbling. Hopefully it will work on the course as well. Otherwise I'll be back to one of my center shafts soon enough.

Another vote for the White Hot Pro CS #2! I chased my tail for quite a while and finally came back home to this model. Simple. That is it. Just simple. Fit's my stroke and I tend to hit my line more often than not. It has also allowed me to become a better putter inside 6 ft. You would think that inside that range would be automatic, but I spent an entire year burning more edges than I thought humanly possible 2 seasons ago. Now going back to this set up, I seem to be rolling more puts dead center.

The only putter that had my eye was the Scotty Notchback. Now if that model came in a CS setup, I would be all over it!

That seemore looks great! Anyone ever use the Taylormade vicino? I'm trying to hunt one down for my father. He has never hit one but had me searching high and low for it.
On another note, I have a CS Ben Hogan Hawk that is still amazing after a decade of use. Would never buy an aluminum putter today, but this club is great. Bettinardi is one of the best!

I've always been partial to centre shaft putters and have in the past used a superb Kirk Currie Brazos and an Odyssey 2 Ball Tour. But I've just picked up one of these: http://www.raaputters.com/our-putters/raa-one.aspx
in an anodised red.
I love the alignment aid, and a bit of lead tape later and we are good to go!

I'm still using a vintage slotline (Inertial High Moment Tour Set) offset center shafted putter.

I wish someone would make a modern version with a milled face and slightly sharper edges.

The alignment makings are perfect for me, so I guess it's my putter for life.

Believe it or not I found it at the local dump (transfer station). Just had to reshaft it.

Also rotate in a SeeMore FGP (original one), and a White Hot 2 ball CS tour lined and filled.

That's a good looking rattler there. As far as questions on the site dot. It isn't exactly like Seemore. There's is more of an oval isn't it?

SeeMore sued Scotty Cameron when they put a round sight dot like that on the back of the original RedX and Newport 2.6 putters. I don't know the outcome of the suit, all I know is the dot disappeared from the Scottys going forward.

Nevertheless, beautiful handmade.

Current love affair is a Piretti Teramo CS 34" standard L/L 71*. I've grown to love CS Mallets. I like the look of Newport heads but can't putt worth crap with it when it's centered shafted.

Past putters were:

Cleveland 5.5 33 1/2" 71* (still one of my favorites)
Ping 1/2 Craz-E 34" 71*
Scotty GoLo-Mid (chop shop hack down project) 34" w/ 73* (the lie was horrible for my heighth)
Scotty Big Sur-Mid (also a chop shop hack down project, I intended to send this to T. Slighter for a re-drill or shaft flange that could be adjusted for lie but never got around to it) currently sitting in pieces head, FST Black Nickel shaft, grip

 • 1 year later...

Just came across this thread and found it interesting so many people prefer center shaft. My first "real" putter was in the first set I bought used when I was in college. Anyone remember this bad boy? (image I found online).

I have (what I think) is SBST method, or darn close, and this baby worked well for 3 years before the insert cracked. I worked at a local club in the summers and the pro had a White Hot 2C head laying around, so he put it on my Top Flite shaft/grip for free. I have been gaming my Frankenstein for 5 years now.

Wanting to move to a more mallet-shaped center shafter, and am currently having a friend mill me a head I drew up based on the Bobby Grace V Foil. You can see my drawing and crude math to calculate weight (based on ~8g/cm^3 for 1018 carbon steel). I know there are a lot of "milled my own putter" threads on here, but anyone ever see someone do a center-shafted mallet? As you can see, I'm relatively new, but I used WRX for a lot of my putter-designing education.
