You can do that move pretty hard and still have the leveraged looked if your pivot is good. that move would actually help some of those who attempt the SF swing by themsleves, the whole emphasis on no forearm rotation is misguided IMO and completely misses the essence of what SF teaches.

Agree with BPH. I personally witnessed geoff advocate for this exact feeling with one of his better students. It wouldn't be something he talked about often but it wouldn't be opposite or against what he teaches as long as it happens without a pivot stall.

Thank both of you for your reply. I was under the impression that Slicefixer would categorize this as a roll release like Fred Couples. I am happy to hear it because I was having some good success with active forearm rotation through the ball.

It comes down to generalities. It's a specific kind of forearm rotation. Easily confused when people try to think in absolutes.

I have nothing against what Mr Lehman demonstrates from 1:25-1:32,but you have to understand that doing so will happen "passively" without active musculature action if you shallow out the shaft as Slicefixer wants .Golfers who are steeper than what he suggests have little choice but to use active supination or conscious musculature forearm rotation to square the clubface.Together with torso rotation this passive supination will square the clubface without a high rate of closure.
And the stronger the left hand grip the less passive supination is needed to square the clubface.

The simple fact is that the higher the rate of closure the higher the probability that a golfer will hit the ball off line.And the greater the dependency there is on conscious left forearm supination,the greater the probability that a golfer will have a high rate of closure

Frddie Couples was a great golfer ,but when his timing was off he cuold hit it well off line

It doesn't happen passively, this is one of the biggest lies in golf. that something happens passively. It either happens from using your forearms or your handpath, actually a combination of the two. If you want to use minimal forearm activation, then your handpath had better be rising through the ball. Thats why most Slicefixer students never get it, they try and send their hands low and left instead of the clubhead.

Another huge lie about the golf swing is the lack of timing of certain swing methodologies. It all requires timing, you might need more emphases on timing a certain aspect differently than another, but it is all timing.
Russc, name someone who can bust an egg that doesn't hit it well off line at times.
