I don't use a reverse-k setup, and I wonder why anyone does. Some have explained, in other threads, what they think it accomplishes, but it does not help me in any way.

I set up in a reverse k and teach the reverse k set up. It does two things. 1) allows the 3 sections of the spine to align at setup to allow the body to pivot without the left side collapsing and 2) it allows the body to pivot relatively centered on angles similar to what I would consider fundamentally sound impact angles. This allows for there to be less wasted motion in the golf swing.

So because it doesn't work for you it has no value for anyone else?

As long as the parts go together...

Sorry, that makes no sense to me, but if it helps others, good. Whatever works.

Of course I have a reverse k in my downswing and through impact, but at setup and in my backswing, no.

Well Noel Thomas' book had a lot of things that made no sense to me and you respond in almost every thread by telling people to read it to fix all their problems.

So I guess we're even.

All "tips" are welcome. Instruction not desired.

Sooooo....you're aware that you have secondary tilt in the downswing and at impact, but it makes no sense to you as to why you would want it at setup?

That is correct. Your reading comprehension is very good.

Thanks. I figured that I had understood correctly what you wrote, yet it was so ludicrous that I had to get clarity in order to be certain.

Are we even? I don't think I have badmouthed anyone for disagreeing with me, but maybe you can do a search and find where I did. While you are searching, you might see how many times I have mentioned that book in the last 12 months.
So uh for us mental midget beginners. Can i have a layman's answer? If i were to assume, it would be more reverse k or spine tilt away on longer clubs than on shorter clubs
Yes, unless you're a scratch amateur. If you are one, it wouldn't make any sense to do such a ridiculous thing.

You want more moving parts? Or less moving parts? Lots of good golfers on tour doing both.
more moving parts definitely makes for a more "dynamic" swing

Why?

Do you widen or narrow your stance when going from wedge to driver? The answer to this will answer your question very simply.
+1
When you set up in a reverseK your left hip is on a vertical line over your left heel. This will place more weight on your left foot which will facilitate a steeper blow which a wedge requires.
When you widen your stance by moving our right foot away from the left foot .your left leg will tilt away from the vertical line of the reverseK .Your legs will have more of a "tripod look" with a driver.with your weight slightly favoring your right foot a bit .This weight distribution will encourage a more "up and out" blow with a driver.
Do all pros set up in a reverseK with wedges.NO
