please,
how many of the haters here have actualy gamed (or even hit ! ) a "top quailty " shaft??

so, unless you have , you will have no idea how much better they actually are.
so dont rubbish the thread bec a guys asking a seriosus question that you have ZERO ability to input anything of sustance to .

Pitbull that was as good an explaination of a shaft as ive ever read.
that has got me well interested i n this , i didnt really like his other offerings when they first came out, the fiamma was good in a fariway wood , really good , but i didnt like it in a driver at all. too whippy. butt and tipp cut it a bit and it firmed right up nicely and launched perfectly in my syard XV 15* was a very rewarding shaft .

the specs on the AAA look similar to the diamana X so u shud get a pretty lowish flight outta this with lowspin id imagine.
hmmmmm gonna look harder at this now.........,

What's funny is when someone post a question and they don't get the exact answers they are looking for but a mixture of both.

How can you tell one side to stfu but just listen to the other? Unfortunately, you POSTED a question in a online golf forum...what did you expect?

Now let's brush of meaningless comments and hopefully, you find your answer. It seems Pitbull hit the nail on the head and just because a shaft works for one doesn't mean it will work for you.

Are you willing to take a $1,000 gamble? That is the only question you need to ask yourself.

For me, I don't know if I would spend $1,000 on a driver shaft because it wouldn't fix my swing. However, I have spend 500, so I guess I'm almost there

People blow me away with their preconceived notions - "rich - a******". Give me a break. If someone wants to spend $1000 on a shaft for whatever reason he chooses so be it. I'm not saying I'm going to do it but if I did it's my money and my choice. Is it going to make me a hell of a lot better than I was before. Absolutely not. Will it possibly help me hit the ball straighter... to some degree, possibly. Bottom line is people can do whatever the hell they want with their own money. As I said earlier, there are multi millionaires and billionaires who spend tens of millions on art that sits on a wall. Is that insane? To most people probably but it doesn't make him a "rich a******". It's all relative. Relax and worry about yourself. Now back to my original question... has anyone had a chance to try it? If you can't comment on the question no one wants to hear your chirping.

That sounds like the logic my wife uses when she comes home with a new handbag and tells me she saved us $500 by purchasing the half priced one instead of the newest model! LOL

I can personally say that this shaft is amazing! I am trying something I have never done before with this shaft, and thats go super long and light, and it seems to be working great. Never would I have thought it would be possible to get into the 50g territory and still be able to hit the ball like I do with this shaft. I hit a high ball, so this isn't "low" for me by any stretch, but it is low spin and has oodles of run after it touches down.

I'm playing it long in a JBeam 435 Black head at 46.25", which is longer than any driver length I've ever played. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get the timing down to square up, but the lightness allows me to get this thing back around my body and the super stable shaft properties allows the head to come back consistently square, so I'm hitting this longer, straighter and more consistently than any other driver I've played. Feel is very good, not quite glassy (say like a Diamana X) and not electric (say like a Diamana Stinger), but very smooth with a kick. Compared to a Rogue 125MSI, I'd say that might be the closest one in feel, but this one is better IMO. I would say overall, it feels cleaner and a more easy swinging shaft than the Rogue, but similar to the Rogue, the kick is definitely there but not jarring or too pronounced in any way.

I'm really enjoying the total package of this shaft and would like to try this in other weights 60g/70g, just to see how it compares and if the personality of the shaft changes much, but I don't think anyone who's hit this shaft and had some time with it would disagree that it's just an all around superstar!

Long high bombs w/ gazelle run...love this shaft/head combo!

I hope it feels better than the Rogue 125, which I was not impressed with. Then again, I wasn't impressed with the Ozik TP-7 either. Nothing, so far, has been able to beat the P9003 TX for me. But I'm trying the new Diamana Whiteboard as soon as the epoxy dries.

Good luck with this shaft if you end up getting one!

Just how many professionals are actually using this shaft on their drivers?
I may hazard a guess that there aren't many when there are so many golf shafts out there to choose from and they will choose what works for them.

So when people go ga-ga over a specific shaft's performance I'm frankly bemused.
We all know golf shaft is the engine of the club. Select base on your ball flight characteristics, not on price.
For the price of a Basileus I could test a bunch of shafts and use a launch monitor to narrow down the choices.

I know of a fellow club member in my club who is a shaft junkie and does use a Basileus.
Frankly I couldn't tell one bit if his ball flight was any better than the other high priced shafts that he has used, but hey he comes from a rich background and the Basileus is chump change.
If money is no object and it works for you, play on!

The marketing mindf$&?k of the public is astonishing. A pro sponsored is on a launch monitor every day, followed weekly by a tour truck with several techs that constantly builds to the exact specs of the player, often with non-retail versions of clubs. But hey, if it's on tv, it must be true! He plays Taylor Made!!

If one guy plays a club/shaft/ball because of exclusivity or price and the other plays because it's on tour, then they're equally the fool. Play what you want to play. What feels best to you.

Here's a couple of tips to live by:

1) Worry about you
2) Don't tell a grown man how to spend his money

I, for one, find Crazy shafts to be light years ahead of USDM shafts. Worth the price? It's all relative, as is everything in life.

$1000 for the AAA is msrp. Can get them for around half that if you do your research.

I'll hazard a guess that for many potential buyers, a $1,000 shaft has the same financial impact as a $100 shaft does for those who have problems with how complete strangers spend their money.

I remember when people said paying $200 for a Cameron was crazy...paying $300 for a shaft ridiculous...paying $400 for a new driver utterly stupid. Those people will drop that type of money now without batting an eye because the marketing geniuses made it common place to do so. A $1000 shaft is the next step now that we are used to the $300/shaft price point. Use what you like, can afford and justify for yourself. Just be happy when you are on the course and enjoy the game.

like I mentioned above, it's An a amazing shaft. if you can find one, it won't be full retail but still pricy, but well worth it IMO. can't buy them at full retail anymore anyways, as the limited stock is sold out.

if you have specific questions, I can answer them offline as to avoid the soapbox peanut gallery comments some people like to waste time on posting

I decided that I will paint it later and have gamed the combo for 5 rounds and 3 sessions on Trackman as well as 5 range sessions. This shaft is a beast. Low/low is the only way to describe it. Low launch, low spin. It hits laser beams. On Trackman I have gained 11 yards and dropped 2* launch angle. On the course I have gained at least 20 yards but that is under very firm conditions. Soggy fairways would be the death of this combo. The dispersion of this shaft is like nothing I have ever gamed which is probably the value in it. I play on the tightest course in Az and I am hitting more fairways than ever. At 60 it is lighter than anything I have ever played. In my late 20s I played a Fuji Tour Spec 95. Amazing how the body changes from 28 to 40.

Is it worth it? Everything is relative. I paid 30% retail used but it is still the most I have ever paid for a shaft. Everyone who hits it says "wow" as the first comment. I honestly cannot explain how tight it is. You swing the club and it is almost an extension of your arms if that makes sense. But it is not boardy. It truly is like nothing I have ever hit.

I absolutely love it. When I'm not hitting it I am thinking about hitting it, if that makes sense. It might not be for eveyone but it is definitely for me..
