going to be in Philly, PA/Trenton NJ area 4/23-24

so I have a business trip coming up for April 23/24 in Trenton. I am driving with a coworker or 2 who play as well.

 

Are the courses going to be open that early? I know I have a tournament on 4/27 here in NY so I would be thinking that at least the public courses would be open. I have an acquaintance at Merion but I don't think they open until May and our 'deal' is that he will bring me to Merion and I get him on Bethpage, which is not a bad deal... haha... but I am not going to call in a favor if I have another guy or 2 with me...

 

Anyway, where should we look to play? There is definitely going to be 2 of us... maybe 3... so if someone in the area wants to make it 4 we would more than happy to have you join us. Our plan would be to drive down Wednesday, 4/22, at night and play Thursday morning as we need to be in Trenton for dinner Thursday night and have our meeting all day Friday and then driving back home to Syracuse after that.

1.Glenn Mills in delaware county. Top notch course. Should be open. One of the top ranked public courses in pa.

2. Turtle Creek- limerick pa.

3. Woodcrest ćc over in jersey across from philly. Recently private turned public.

I'll be out of town those days, but I can get you and your colleagues out "unaccompanied" at my club, Old York CC at Chesterfield. We're only 15-20 minutes from Trenton near Bordentown. Private club, typically excellent greens, good test of golf...and will be very convenient for you location wise...

No problem...just let me know. I'm on the BOD there and we have an ambassador program that allows me to get unaccompanied guests out on Tuesdays and Thursdays at a very reasonable rate compared to most places unaccompanied fee...
