Kari sent me pictures this morning of my finished 201 and 421. Took right at 2 months, very reasonable. I'm really happy with how they turned out. Can't wait to get them.

Haha! He might feel differently about that, glad to be done with me I'm sure. After those initial emails and figuring out what I wanted, I finally stepped away from the keyboard and let the magic happen.

This DD201 is almost exactly what I want. He makes a great 009 shape. I have a 620 (Newport 2) from Byron on the way, but a flow neck like this is next. Just need to decide on who it’s going to be from.

Kari is a good option if you go pretty basic mainly because of the conversion rate and the weaker Aussie dollar, putter can be quite cheap.

In talks with Kari as we speak, sent him my build sheet and requests, waiting for a quote and if he can accommodate my requests which I think he can do with the skills he has.

Does anyone have a Sensor and a DD201 that could tell me the heel/toe and face/rear dimensions of both? Are they the same?

 

Nevermind: DD201- 113.5mm long, 29.5mm wide- 25mm high-  Sensor - 117mm long, 30mm wide, 25mm high

Just got my custom in. Took 8 weeks or so.

201 head with Beach Slot and covered in colorful geckos.

Kari’s pieces are very nice. I had some recent success using a Sensor on a course that has troubled me for over a decade, so I asked Kari about other similar “dimensions” with the same model. Here they are from left to right: tour, regular, and wide. I own a regular now. Will someone buy me the other two? Haha.

I decided to try this polished black stallion out and it’s a winner. The feel of the carbon with the serrated v grooves is really something else.

That sensor is beautiful. I have a dd201 that i had made when my daugther was born. That putter has been in my bag for 5 years now… the problem i have now a second child. Do i order a new one or send mine to have his name on it…

Order a new Sensor. That thing has been lights out for me the past month. I bought it, had a very bad putting round with it, almost sold it, decided to keep it, and now I can’t remove it from the bag. The ball just goes in the hole a lot with it.

Mine has a top line and two line on the flange if that is what you are looking for. Want a pics?

I wouldn't mind seeing it for an idea. I'm patiently waiting for my first to be milled and planning a second so just want ideas.

For you guys that have had a custom shipped from Kari, have you ever had a problem with customs or had to pay an import tax on top of the cost of the putter? Looking to get one done but am curious of your guys' experience. And no I don't work for a tax collection agency lol

Will depend on the country and also depends what Kari puts down as the value. Most putter makers it's not the putter that's expensive it's the machine time. 

 

If you're in the US I think it's 800 or 850 before you get taxed and it's minimal if that.

Thanks Matt. I'm in the US so figured uncle Sam would eventually get his piece just wasn't sure how it works. Doesn't seem like it's something thatll hold me back from ordering my own custom

I’ve bought from Kari and never had an issue with taxes or customs. He ships DHL Express and it shows up in 3 - 5 days, depending on if the delivery guy lets it sit on his truck before he makes it to your house. Most of the delay is waiting for Kari to make your putter. His putters are superb, so don’t hesitate to order; it’s worth the wait. Any other questions, dm me.

I think the Bayzie I used to own had that finish with the true spiral face. Or at least it was similar.
