Have you found the need to loft UP with the R15 driver like you needed to do with the SLDR?

Can you use a shaft that has a tip that fits a SLDR on the new R15's??

No need to loft up, R15 goes higher. Yes SLDR tip works on r15. Overall one of the longer drivers out and feels great when centered.

My R15 9.5 is what I would expect from a normal 9.5* driver. I could not hit the 9.5 SLDR. The 10.5 was ok but the 12 was much easier to hit consistently on the SLDR.

I'm not quite grasping how the COG is farther forward, and it's lower spinning, but there is no need to loft up.
I haven't hit it so I can't speak to launch.
So I'm Not saying that you're incorrect, it just doesn't make logical sense to me.

It does launch higher than the sldr but i still lofted up to be safe. I play the 12 degree set delofted. So it's probably around 11. Works nicely for me. The feel is.....different. It's a good driver. Also check out the aero tp. I think the r15 feel is better though.

I was fit for a 9.5* R15 head. I would have had to play the SLDR at a minimum of 10.5 if not more.

It could be the effect of the speed pocket by the more forward weight channel.

No need to loft up. Go get fit. Solid hits from the center!

Easy...manipulating their manufacturing tolerances on stated loft versus actual loft.

I'm not saying they are doing this but it would be an easy way to get everyone to loft up without them knowing it.

All solid conspiracy theories but I'm just not following that re-designing the channel and adding another weight contribute to a lower lofted club with farther forward COG and lower spin launching higher

I lofted down going from SLDR to R15 (12 to 10.5) But play a high launch shaft. Much better feeling than the SLDR on any shot and much more forgiving. All in all, not the most forgiving but certainly improved over SLDR. I highly suggest getting fit by a TM fitting center.

Bingo. The R15 TP 9.5* head just went straight up in the air for me at any loft. It felt like a huge three wood.

I heard SLDR was crazy low spin and guys were hitting 12.5 or whatever. On R15 I play a 10.5 cranked down to 9.5 and it still goes higher than my Ping G25 8.5 but has less wacky spin than the Ping. I played an RBZ at 9.5 and the R15 is a hair lower than that. Great mid-high ball flight. I don't have LM numbers, but it looks good and feels good and goes pretty darn straight. I marvel at some of the reviews that suggested this wasn't a very forgiving driver. Ummmm, what am I missing? Every bit as forgiving as anything I've played. YMMV
