Annoyed-RBG 15% Restocking Fee

So, I purchased 2 expensive items that didn't fit and RBG charges a 15% restocking fee. Had I known, I would have purchased elsewhere. Buyer beware. I didn't even consider that they would have such an anti-customer policy when I bought. RBG FAIL

This is a surprise to me so I researched their site. I couldn't find any mention of the fee anywhere. You should have them send you a link to where it is listed. If it isn't you probably have a legit complaint (for all the good that will do you.)

We do not accept exchanges as our inventory turns over very very quickly. However, we do accept returns for a refund to your original payment method.

Products will be accepted for a refund (less the original shipping cost), if they meet the following conditions:

1) The merchandise must be returned to us within 30 days from the original purchase date.
2) The product is in 'UNUSED' condition (a couple of practice shots means it is not new anymore!).
3) If the return was from a price match purchase, your refund will be LESS the Gift Certificate amount rewarded at the time of the price match request.

If you meet ALL of these conditions, simply click on the 'Ask A Question' tab above for a Return Authorization Number. Please include your original order number in the email.

PLEASE NOTE: Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. A trackable and insured shipping method is strongly recommended as we will not be responsible for merchandise that has not reached our facility.

I got tired of their 20% off sales that are more like 3-5% if you follow their pricing well. Sometimes stuff was cheaper the day before their "big" sales. Granted still good pricing but you gotta be smart about it.

People used to buy from their local Pro Shop, paid a little more, but received exceptional service.

The internet became a great way to save a few bucks, putting most public course Pro Shops out of the club business. What a shame.

Now you get what you pay for...

The back of the invoice that I received with my order said 15% restocking fee. They must be using old invoice forms as their policy has changed. They do not charge this any longer.

They have the "30 days you'll love the club or money back" every now and then as well. I've gone through them to get it and it's better than most manufacturers. When I shipped the club back, the day after the club was received, I had gift cards from RBG. Yes, it does suck that you only get gift cards from them for the money, but if you only dealt with the manufactures in this situation, it'd take 3-6 weeks to get your cash money.

I get that people hate their 20% off sales, but their prices are usually so much better than anyone else. It seems pretty petty to not shop there based on that when regardless of what day it is you can save money compared to anywhere else.

For instance, the Aeroburner TP hybrids were $239 the week leading up to Memorial Day weekend. Then they put the price back up to $269 for Memorial Day, but gave 20% off. In either case, you are paying less than what you would anywhere else (up front that is. You can get those gift cards as a bonus).

Why pass up on that if you want the club but are pissed they didn't add an additional 20% to the $239? There's no way they can do that as it would end up being closer to their cost and they couldn't make any money.

Plus you have John Daly deals...I mean...come on...who doesn't love Daly Deals?!?!
