Quick little story in honor of our friend, the Judge, Mr. Reasonability....

So, as I posted earlier, my foursome played pretty poorly today, although we had a lot of fun. One fella in particular, tall and athletic, just hit a huge slice all day. Hard to watch even, it would start down the center and make a right turn and go another 40 or 50 yards in that direction.

I was pretty much in my own world, grinding away, trying to get ready for tomorrow and didn't know him at all although I know a few of the other guys some of which he is really good friends with. So, we're walking off the 16th tee box and I couldn't help myself and said, "hey, I hate unsolicited advice, but I can't help but tell you that every great shot you hit all day I noticed that you were really locked in and stayed down on the ball all the way through to the end of your follow through."

He looks up and his eyes get brighter and he says, "you know I think you're right, thanks for that."

Well, he steps up and hits crushing draws on 17 and 18 off the tee and finds both greens although I think he three-putted 18. He was so stoked!

I'm the open book type person, so I fear I overstep my bounds sometimes with people I don't know very well and came awfully close to not saying anything to him. Turns out it totally flipped his round upside down and he finished feeling good about going into the matches!

That's right!

I was the skinny kid, fine boned or whatever it's called and it's relative I
suppose. I wore 29 waist til my mid 20s and 31 most years after that.
Then came 32, 33, 34 lol.

I don't carry the extra weight well cause I guess I don't have the bone
structure for it. For me it's more a matter of feeling good and I feel
better when I get the extra weight off. My vanity is long gone, LMAO,
so it ain't about looks! Until then, TURN THE MASS! as you have so
well said!

BTW, whomever said play more break and hit it more firmly about putting saved me a few strokes today. Good tip for a guy who rolled a bunch right up to the lip yesterday. Also, weirdly, I've been playing around with a "pop" stroke a la Snedeker and really like it for certain distances, long and uphill especially. I hit one really nice one with a "pop" today, 40 or 50 footer that scared the hole.
