Well folks hit the jackpot at work today. One of the guys that works at one of the "tourist trap" driving ranges came in with 2 5 gallon buckets full of heads where the hackers had been hitting the mats and shearing shafts--- of course I went through them-- what do you folks expect of me? I found the following heads that I kept.
T Mag R-9 460 9.5 loft with the adjuster intact shaft broken off inside adaptor
Adams Speedline 9064 LS 8.5 loft with shaft broke off in the head no adaptor actually in pristine shape
Cleveland Classic XL 7.5 loft with an adaptor shaft broke off in adaptor
I can get the broken shafts out of the adaptors takes a little time but with the rain which started today and goes through the weekend I should have plenty of time. Already have the shafts in mind for 2 of them. The T-Mag will get a Stu Special better known as an old UST Pro Force 65 Gold. I am thinking of putting my last Stiletto in the Cleveland because it has never been tipped and I can tip it to kick that 7.5 on the bottom end. It may kick anyhow it has what I assume is a 7 gram weight in the back low it is marked 7 anyhow. We will see
Im playing the R9,Stu,and love it.Tried the Covert 2.0....it was good, but the R9 just seems to fit.
I tend to agree on the R-9 I was looking at it sitting on the table and it sat good. It is the same color as my V-steel fairways and has that "curb appeal" to me. But it will have a mighty task ahead of it to displace the Hathaway but I am optmistic

Thank you gents. To those that referenced my wife and her take on last night's golf partner. We began dating when we were 15. She knows me pretty well and I believe has no concerns that I will ever stray. She did ask why we exchanged phone numbers, and I told her that I was looking to score with the elderly crowd ; )

In reality I have too much to lose. She's probably break every golf club that I own (maybe over my head) and then her father (a retired police officer) would hunt me down and take my balls. My balls, shafts, and heads would not be in tact and this would make golf a challenge.
OOOOOHHHHHH!!!!! The humanity of it.

DeNinny,

I've used inexpensive putters, mid-range priced putters, and higher end putters. I can miss and make with all of them. An Odyssey, Cameron, Rife, Xenon, Ping, Low Tide, etc. will have appeal to different golfers for different reasons.

I now own a bad arse Machine with a handful of flanges and accessories, three Xenons and two Mannkrafted putters.

Here's what drew me to these companies . . .

- They are Made in the USA.
- The makers of each are easily accessible and are a pleasure to deal with.
- The products can be custom ordered. Head shapes, materials, finishes, loft, lie, toe hang, alignment options, head weight, length. - Since moving in the Wishon direction last year I've chosen to pursue the custom route as opposed to the 'off the rack' offerings.
- I'm sinking putts with them and genuinely feel more confident on the greens with both line and pace.
- I like to collect distinct products.
- I really enjoy the process involved in ordering a custom build.

These were options that I lacked when I purchased via a big box store.

Matt, your findings sound interesting. I echo Stu, if it works, it works! For me, I'm a stance/ball position adjuster. I ALWAYS check my grip because like you said it can creep into the wrong positions over time. For instance, for almost a year I had the toe hooks REALLY bad. If it wasn't a driver or a putter it was gonna be off the toe. I would see dimples out where there are no grooves on the face, I tried everything but adjusting my grip. It was my grip all along. No I make sure I have a fairly neutral grip, and I actually practice putting my hands on the club over and over LOL

STU, great finds!!!! Being a lefty I find nothing out here......ever LOL I also concur with billh about the R9, it's good driver.
I do not really check my grip I guess because I have been playing so long I know how it feels. Now my stance can be another thing I have to constantly check it to make sure I am not too open because if I am I will loose it left not a pull hook but a pull shot with a cut 20 yards left of target. Everything I have ever heard about the R-9 was good and there are quite a few guys that still play them down here. Actually I have never hit a TMag driver of any kind I know it is hard to believe. I think with me on metal drivers I have always been into the custom component thing except for my Hogan CS-5. I know if that R-9 hits as good as those V-Steels do I have found something!

Interestingly enough my stance is usually pretty square, but I tend to get stronger with my left hand grip if I'm not careful. These days it stays pretty consistent but I just give it a look to make sure. Subconsciously I'm always trying to squash the ball at impact, that probably why my grip tends to get strong.

Interested to hear how that R9 works out, I've had only one TM driver in my life, that was the R11. It was OK, but my Titleist 913 is way better. The Callaway I have on the way I think will be the love of my "driver life" :D
I can see that One of the reasons I do not collect those type of putters is because they are too pretty to play with IMHO. Another written rule for me is I will not take a putter on the course I have to put a cover on that is just one of my Anal things. I guess for me I like to tinker too much and you do not tinker with a nice good looking putter. I like rusty beat all to crap lead taped putters but that is just me. My latest thing a T Mag Rosa Daytona that my buddy caught while fishing on the 14th hole. He gave it to me and I took the rusty shaft out and soaked the rusty head in PB Blaster actually forgot about it for 2 weeks. Put it together with a Sensicore shaft I had laying around. Since it was bent at the plumber's neck I set it for me since it was unplayable. Never intended on using it but picked it up one day messing around in the shop and it sat good. Now it was a little light so of course I put about 12 grams of lead tape in the bottom. Took it on a whim to the course to practice and it felt real good and with straightening out my ball position it works. Now I have 3 or 4 Ansers and this is an Anser type putter but it feels different but good. I did not know a whole lot about these putters because most of my life I have been a Ping putter guy. I posted over on the putter forum for some info and all I have seen so far is some smart arssed answer.
But hey I can appreciate a fine crafted putter and I do like to look on the putter thread at the pics so you gotta post some pics on here.

I can appreciate the position Stu. For what it's worth, I'm not a 'wall hanger' kinda guy, so you can be assured that all of them will see the course (sanded greens or not). I'm a headcover collector so I'm not worried about protection. That was the main reason I purchased a custom Delila cover (it's shipping tomorrow). I can use the same magnetic cover on every putter.

Thanks. Those all sound like great reasons to get one. Check on all for me. I've perused their website too. I like that they are milled. And they have single steel offerings. My only fear was that they may get too complicated and techy, but they have simple design offerings which are like metallic works of art as far as I am concerned.

How do you like their grip or did you put on another?

I'm thinking that I'm going to shoot some more video of my swing this weekend. I swore it off at one point but.....

I'd like to have some honest input from the Confessions crew. Won't ask for help in I and A. Lol. You guys can call me a jerk off and an a** clown all you want. I don't care. LMAO!

After all the discussions we've had here I trust your opinions and I think I can figure out things to make it my own. I'll explain more later when I get video. Let's just say two way miss is killing me.

I left my G15 driver at home last time and took my Rapture V2,
also with a PL Blue 65S in it, out for a spin. Haven't bagged it
for awhile. It's a lower spin head and not as forgiving but, man,
when you hit it pure it's wonderful.....and long.

I'll think I'll bag it this weekend. Playing the Legislator Sat and
the Judge Sun. Wish me fairways please, lol.

Also, haven't been a fan of yellow balls but a friend gave me
a box last time at home and I used them the other day. I like
'em. Old eyes maybe but seems I can see them better while
I'm hitting a shot.

So I bought 2 boxes of yellow SuperSofts yesterday and will
play with them this weekend.

Anyone else playing yellow balls? I admit being a little of a
white ball snob, LMAO. I never say anything to anyone else
when they have yellow balls, just didn't want them myself.

Crossing myself up is my worst fear right now. Hate to say it, but probably a grip issue MC. Only way a golfer of your ability gets crossed up.
It could very well be a grip thing. Thanks for the props but I only talk about my good rounds. LOL.

Today I had a 45 on the front with one par.

Rad, I played with a guy today who used a yellow ball the he'd found. First time I'd ever seen him use one. He has a bit of a narrow swing like me. Hits low launching lasers. I think he said he shot 39-36. We never write it down. Just keep track how many over (or occasionally under) we are.

I met my wife at 29. I still think she knows me pretty well 11 years later.

Any of you guys notice a few shots a round, or maybe just one, stands out? Like a few days later you think of the course and that cut 5 or faded bomb from the tee is what flashes up?
Absolutely.

When I have mediocre rounds the good one or ones are easy to recall. At some point I transitioned to thinking about the 4 or 5 bad shots that really cost me. It's no coincidence that the theme of my posts the last few days has been two way miss with the driver. Lol.

My best shot today? I had 189 to the center of the green. Normally a 5 but I had a tree between me and the green (two way miss strikes again) and didn't think I could get a 5 over it. So I nailed a towering 6 to the center of the green. Couldn't believe I got it all the way there.

When I had the shaft replace in my 6 the guy couldn't find the original. It was a DG Xp gold. He called and I had him put a XP 105 in it. It feels a little different and I can hit the heck out of my 6. High towering shots that just go. Maybe shafts make a difference. Don't know that much about it.

Yep, my only highlight from the other day. Wasn't keeping score and
played multiple balls.........but on a 477 par 5 I nutted my Rapture V2
270 (long for me) and then hit my 21 degree hybrid on the green from
207. Didn't know if the shot would hold. Go to the green and my ball
was sitting right next to it's mark about 20 feet from the hole.

I don't remember anything else. Just that! LOL
