Okay gang, I know some of y'all out there in WRX land are gamers. So what's everyone's preferred gaming platform and current favorite game? What release(s) are you looking forward to?

 

I'm a Sony console guy and have had every generation of the Playstation from the Original Playstation through the current PS4. Needless to say, the PS4 is my go to platform. Right now I'm playing a decent amount of Destiny (PvE) when I have an hour or two to sit and veg (rather than watch TV...you know, because there's really nothing worth watching ever on the tube), but I've also re-discovered Tomb Raider based on a recent Amazon impulse purchase of the definitive edition. Much improved over where that franchise has ended up since it's inception years ago. I really wanted to like Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, but just didn't and the same can be said of Advanced Warfare and Rory's PGA 2015.

Xbox One and I only play Madden with the MUT. Madden 16 is decent but I liked last years Madden a lot more.

PS4 here playing alot of sports games MLB the show, Rory's PGA 2015 (not as good as the old tiger editions IMO) I used to play alot of Battlefield & COD but ever since The Witcher 3 came out nothing has even come close, I've already finished the game and started it again since game + mode has been released.

Xbox One. I liked Destiny for a while until I got to the point of having to play for hours to get a piece of gear that may or may not fit my character to try and level up....

Right now, my kid plays skylanders and we watch Blu Rays. I've thought about the remastered gears of war, but will definitely get the new Halo

I always buy the new system and barely use it. It's a sickness.

I gave up on all the new systems after being fed up with DLC costs. Currently hooked up is my Nintendo 64 with Goldeneye 64 ready to play.

I'm a PS4 man myself. I've been playing COD a lot. I'm waiting until this fall/winter when all of the new games come out to buy anything else.

Nice, I would trade my PS3 for a Nintendo 64 right now! Goldeneye, mariokart, nba halftime, and madden were my go to games back in the day. I break out the play station every 6 months or so and try to play call of duty or something and then put it back into hibernation a few minutes later, just can't hang anymore.

I have the Xbox one and the PS4 but I haven't really touched the PS4 in a while mainly use the PS4 to play MLB The show for the Start of Baseball season and during the playoffs haha, but I have been playing a lot of PC games this year for some reason.

I got an XBO, just got madden 16 the other day, not too bad. My roomate has Rory as well which isn't bad. Love NHL so excited for 16. Might grab fifa too. The price of games just skyrocketed up here because the canadian $ is terrible. Madden was $80 (~$60) usd. I generally consider myself pretty good at sports games (was in the top 0.8% on madden 15). But am absolutely terrible at shooter games. Sometimes I wish I had a PS4 just to play MLB The Show.

Just started playing MGS V after The Witcher 3, been a good year for gaming plus Fallout 4 comes out later.

I wouldn't mind upgrading to a PS4 when the new star wars shooter gets here. For the most part, I'm not too excited about all the next gen consoles. Old school arcades are where it's at!

I've always had the latest and greatest consoles since my Atari 2600 days, but surprisingly (to me), have not gotten around to buying a PS4 or XBoxOne.

I think Fallout 4 will change that situation, though; really looking forward to playing it. Pretty much follow just a handful of franchises anymore: Fallout, Borderlands, The Elder Scrolls, and GTA.

Im definitely a console player. I have both the XBO and PS4. Ive actually been playing Mad Max right now while I wait for The Taken King to come out next week.

Believe me if I had the space I'd have 4 times the amount of arcades I currently own. I'm stil searching for a couple unicorns (vintage ms. pacman cocktail table, star wars, track and field, turtles in time, etc...). I really need to move into a house with a finished basement or a large, air-conditioned shed in the backyard to fully realize my dream arcade room

Thats awesome right there. I pumped many quarters into the area 51 and t2 game back in my younger years. I always thought a basement with a handful of arcade games would be cool. I would go with those two mentioned, ultimate mortal kombat 3, nfl blitz, and probably one of those games with the basketball goal and a handful of basketballs and shoot for high score.

I actually refuse to put any of my games on 'freeplay' so you have pump quarters in the slots still. It's part of the appeal for me especially when the friends are over and we line up quarters on the glass while waiting for our turn to play SF2 (i give back the quarters that aren't mine). I've toyed with the idea of changing out the coin mechs and finding a place that will make me some custom arcade tokens but I'd rather save the money for my next game purchase

I still have an Xbox 360 with a huge library with games I still have to play yet. When I'm feeling nostalgic I'll hook up the NES and play Tecmo Bowl, Punchout and Mario Bros. I rarely buy a game when it first comes out because if you wait a week or two you can find it on sale.
