TP Mills - Post your Putter

I've seen just a couple of these Sycamore putters on the website. They had the milled face W/O the insert and one was stainless with a raw finish. To me it seems like he's not making many but, I'm not in the loop. I hope you get a call back.

 

Considering this was last April/May I've given up trying to trade it. As far as I know it's the only insert model around. The COA said it was one of a hundred made, and they told me it wasn't sold in the U.S. with the insert.

I've never been able to get to them on the T.P. Mills website, but if you google it you can get to an archived page that shows them without the insert. I also saw a raw finish one with a plumbers neck when they did their auction this fall.

That's a beauty - classic ONE with the modern touches. Love David's new "spiderman" milling. I think he used to call it "alligator" milling, but either name works.....

Fair enough! I'll post final pics once the paintfill is completed. Also the finish looks dark because it was just applied but it's really a satin oilcan finish.

No glare on carbon. Stainless not so sure but it's a fantastic finish.

Can do this with stainless for sure but not in satin like this one, would need to have a little polish to it to get that blue on SS.

My Heritage is one of my favorite sticks in my collection. I don't think the headshape gets enough love.

Hard not to "like" a TP Mills putter. They are quality sticks and definitely nice chunks of steel. :good:

Totally agree. The headshape especially at address looks so smooth and soft and feels like butter when putting. It's been my favorite model for a long time now.

Just got it today and looks better than expected. David was great to work with through the process. He used a stepped shaft though which I don't have in any of my other mills. I don't think it matters much... just not used to seeing steps on a putter anymore.

That really turned out great, what a neat contrast between the neck and the head. I think the stepped shafts are better feeling than the stepless, would be happy to have one.

Thanks for all these great pictures, there are some really awesome putters in this thread. I picked up a Trad II during the first tee sale last fall, but I think it's just too heavy for me so I haven't been using it. This thread is making me think that I may have to pick up another Trad II that isn't quite as heavy though. Is there a price list anywhere on the website or do you just email him for a quote?

the stepped shaft is a modified head speed. does anyone know weight comparison vs. his tt stepless shaft that he normally uses or any other info on it? i really don't mind the steps and happy with it. wouldn't mind knowing some more info though.

Not sure what that means modified speed head? Weight will be about the same 128 to 130 range, these are just like the old Titleist Micro-bell and are a higher quality shaft than TT Stepless.
