anyone played it??

Hello everyone, I am going to Dallas next weekend and as part of the event I am playing we are playing the Cowboy Golf Club. It is owned by the Cowboys ( Jerry Jones I assume). It looks like a nice golf course from the website.

Looking for feedback if anyone has played it. Thanks.

I have in fact played it 2 or 3 times, you'll like it I'm sure. A good test from the tips, with multiple tees for all skill levels. Resort style course, pretty open but well cared for and very good service. I happen to think their green fees are too high in comparison to others in our area, but hopefully you aren't having to pay.

Thanks GLL, I was hoping it was as nice as it appeared on the webpage.

It is part of a tourney we are playing over 5 days in Dallas. The other 4 days at TPC @ Craig Ranch, we were supposed to play Colonial but the HP kind of gave us a bad deal.

I might try to go to Hank Haney Golf Ranch while I am there, it is only 3.5 miles away from TPC.

When I was doing business in Dallas I played there 4-5 times, and had two outings there. The course is very well laid out; the conditions are usually great and the service is very good. I had a run-in with a proshop manager during one of my outings (wouldn't accept discounted fees already agreed to, etc.) and later was approached by his manager to my complete satisfaction. We were only a 24 person outing at the time, no big deal, but they paid a lot of attention to us and we came back the next year (50+ folks). I'm reminded of their hospitality every time I put on one of their nice Cowboys Golf Club zippered fleece pullovers they gave to us as a token of appreciation (need to do that a lot here in N. Ohio).

I am looking forward to playing it, I hate the Cowboys ( steeler fan) but I guess for golf, I will have to put up with that star for a while.

Hate to see you miss Colonial, but you'll like Cowboy's, and I haven't played it yet, but hear great reports on Craig Ranch. Definately check out Hank Haney's, you'll be right down the road, Maybe Tiger will be there.

Ditto everyone else's comments about the course, and service. It's way overpriced, but I believe they have an offer for unlimited golf, with lunch/breakfast included.

I've never met a dallas Cowboy there, but I'm told several current and ex-players frequent the facility.

the pro "Shawn Humphries" is a REALLY nice guy, very mellow, with a good teaching style. He told me he took Troy Aikman from a ?? 15-?? handicap down to a 3-4 index in less than a year or so. Pretty nice results.
