915 D2 v. 913 D2

I hit the 915 recently and was blown away at how good I was swinging it. I have always struggled with hitting a driver, but this one surprised me and I actually felt like it was going to go where I wanted it to. I hit 15...9 were good the other 6 were not which I thought was considerably good for not swinging a club in a few months. Anyways, with the price being so high and the fact I didn't get a chance to demo the 913, I was wondering if anyone had some insights between the two, or if anyone noticed the same thing.

I have both, both are good clubs but the 915 was a little longer and a little more forgiving for me. They pop up on bst almost every day for a reasonable price.

I switched from a 913 D2 to the 915 D2 earlier this year. I didn't trade in, so I was able to take them out on the course and compare. Not going off LM numbers, just the results, I found the 915 was better for me. I was hitting 4 balls on each tee box, 2 with each, same brand different numbers. I found that on most holes the 913 would keep up if not barely out drive the 915 with one shot, but the misses were much better with the 915. The distance difference between the best 2 shots were small, averaging at most 5 yards to the 915, but the differences in misses was the selling point. I also noticed that the 915 stayed in play more. Head to head I felt that the 915 was more forgiving and kept most misses in play. After gaming it for a season, I still like it and am glad I switched. The 913 was definitely a good driver, and if cost is an issue it is a great choice. Hope this helps.

Game the 915 and have had the 913. The 915 is longer and more forgiving.

The 915D2 is the straightest driver I've ever played and is no slouch in the distance dept. I went down in loft to compensate for the rumored higher spin of the D2. On a personal level I hit the D2 further than the D3. I liked the 913D2 (my previous driver) but as someone mentioned above the mishit results are one of the best around.

I have played the 910D2, the 913D2, then swiched to the 915D3 when it came out. I went with the D3 because I didn't like the shape of the new D2. I played the D3 almost all summer, and got along ok with it. I decided the last month of my playing season to try and pick up a 915 D2 and compare it with the the D3. I wish I had done it much sooner. My spin numbers with the D3 would move from 1800's to 3000+ depending on strike, and with the D2 I saw spin numbers right around 2400 on virtually every strike. I used the same GD DI 6x shaft with each club head.

On the coarse the D2 worked out much better for me also. The main call out for the 915D2 is the look. The head shape is not as nice IMO as previous D2's.

this is exactly how I course test new clubs. The worst performer goes on eBay. A costly way, but real wold testing cannot be beaten.

Have hit both on the range and the 915 was noticably better imo. More forgvng, longer, straighter and better feel. Better in every department.

Tried the D3, went with the 915 D2 (Whiteboard, 60g X) and absolutely love the head/shaft combination. Previous was RBZ with stock S, and there is no comparison. Longer...straighter...more consistent. For me, a great purchase.
