NW Phoenix - Copper Canyon, Corte Bella, Wigwam Gold - which one?

Will be in the Surprise area for a week in mid-Feb and looking to fill out the golf schedule with a reasonably priced round in the area (will already be playing Estrella). Trying to decide which of these courses to play.

Copper Canyon- sounds like it's in good shape, looks rather flat and not that interesting?

Corte Bella - sounds like in good shape, looks a bit more interesting than Copper, limited tee times available for early/mid morning rounds

Wigwam Gold - sounds like in good shape, is it more of a "real course" compared to the other 2 "community" courses?

Looking to hear your recommendations between these for some 10-15 cappers with priority on condition and interesting/enjoyable design and golf experience. Thx

Don't overlook vistancia

A bit more info. We've already played Vistancia and Verrado in the last couple years so looking for something a bit different and a bit cheaper (especially since the Canuck dollar is in the toilet). The previous times we played those 2 courses at the times we wanted (early/mid morning) the cheapest we could find anywhere was around $120 or a bit higher. Looking for something a bit cheaper but still decent golf in the area. Thx for the suggestion though!

I liked Copper Canyon when I played it spring 2014. Nice track in the middle of nowhere. Good mix of holes, water comes into play, it will be in good shape.

But, man, it is in the middle of nowhere !! 350th Avenue and Bell, I think.

Copper Canyon is better than Corte. Even though it is routed through the houses, it is not horrid.

You also have Palm Valley and Sundance as options.

1. Wigwam Gold---Lehman just redid the bunkers

Copper Canyon hands down, always in great shape, pace is good 9/10 times, you get that occasional hiccup but very rare. It's worth the drive.

If you want a more old school parkland layout then Wigwam is a great choice.

Corte Bella is the course I play the most, I enjoy it, it's close to home and the members are good people. But, it's not in the same category as Copper Canyon, Estrella, Vistancia. Just a notch below.

If you're willing to drive to Wigwam I'd make the drive to Verado GC over Wigwam. You won't be disappointed. I'd put Verado over Wigwam.

If you really want to treat yourself with hit up Quinterro. Above all on the list.

2. Copper Canyon

3. Verrado/Wigwam

4. Corte Bella

I'm a NW Peoria guy and play often and those would be my recommendations in order. If you don't want to drive to either Verrado or Wigwam, play Corte Bella.

Also check out some of the Sun City Grand Courses, very under rated in my opinion. Cimmaron is a great layout, Desert Springs, Granite Falls N and S all solid options, but I only play them during the summer as I don't think the fee is worth it in the winter. If you do want to play them you have to call the course directly, they take themselves off of Golfnow during the winter.

Edit for-Oops, didn't see that you had played Verrado in the past as well, I'd still play Verado 7/10 times over Wigwam, just me though. Hit up the newly renovated Maryvale, now Grand Canyon University Golf Course, you may need a flack vest to get to the course but you should be safe once your are in the fence, ;-).
