Mine is this: How much do the club manufacturers "encourage" you to bag their latest offering? The pros with Callaway often seem to be bagging a mix of old and new, but what about other manufacturers?

I believe Rory is still using the previous model of Nike blades, and Jordan Spieth quickly went back to 714 AP2s, which had to sting a bit for Titleist!

Bearing in mind the companies are always thinking about the bottom line, do they push you to play the latest?

Hi Jason, I was your standard bearer during your win at Pete Dye in your final Nationwide Tour event. Really enjoyed watching you win your first event at Daly's 84 Lumber Classic. I followed you during the multiple AT&T National events at Congressional. You're one of the nicest pros I've ever met and thanks for taking the time after your rounds and even before to talk to me on the range and putting green. My question for you is which golf course in your career has posed the biggest threat to you and which one did you enjoy playing the most? I still have the gorilla headcover you gave me. It alone adds an extra 15 carry distance! Also do you still have that hideous button up Nike polo? You know the one I'm talking about from the win in Bridgeport, WV!

Do you think the amount of money that some players are making off the course is hurting the Tour? By that, I mean that during the last 10-15 years it seems that a number of Tour members play limited schedules and some have even lost their competitive juices because they have multiple sources of income which gives them the opportunity to skip tournaments. What do you think of the new rule The PGA Tour proposed which will require players to visit at least one tournament they have not played in the past four years starting with the 2016-17 season for those who play less than 25 tournaments per season.

You kinda touched on it, but how nuts is it to have access to custom wedges every time you go out? Do you find yourself picking specific grinds and degree/bounce combos based on course layouts/conditions or do you tend to stick to what you know and trust and not stray from that?

 

If it's the former especially, us gear heads would sure love to hear what you put in the bag and why!
