Guys golf trip Albuquerque

Doing a guys golf trip in April/May, trying to figure out when in April/May is a good time do it.

Don't want to there when they are punching the greens or the condition when is bad..

These are the courses we are thinking...any suggestion where is to eat/drink is most welcome..thanks

Planning to play the first 4 on the list and the rest as backup...

just trying to get a feel on what will be the condition of the golf course like during April/May..

If they are punch or overseeding etc..

I'll be in town March 15-17 if anyone wants to play. Flying in the 15rh at 9am then heading to UNM, playing 36 + at Paa Ko on the 16 and flying home the 17th.

Sorry I just caught this but as much as I hate to say it I would not play Black Mesa. They've had some maintenance issues over the last couple of years. I think courses usually get punched mid may around here..

Look up the windy season in NM, think it's right in line with when you are looking to go. It can get really bad.

Windy season is hell, I used to live in ruidoso and las cruces. Tee off early in the morning to miss most of the wind. 20+ constant wind from like 11am till around sunset. April is the worst there. But golf is golf.

I'm looking at the weather for my trip, of course it looks perfect until the day I fly in, then both my golf days are expecting 20+ mph winds.

I live in west Texas and have only played one on your list - Pueblo de Cochiti. It was several years ago when I played it, but I really enjoyed it. Compared to the courses I normally play, it was in fantastic shape. Probably top 5 I've ever played as far as condition goes. I highly recommend it.

We get so spoiled living here. Back when I lived in North Dakota we would have looked forward to those, calling them "nice days". :)

Isn't that the truth!?!?

I don't mind it too much, just seems like I always get screwed by weather of some sorts on most of my golfing adventures. I've played Paa Ko in perfect weather so I know how good it is, my only issue is that I'm playing Santa Ana for my first time and I'd like to play it in "normal" conditions, but hopefully I know better than to let a little wind change my perception of the course
