You gentlemen know the defenses by the Chiefs and Raiders are 29th and 30th in the NFL ?

 

 

Also the last time the Raiders played a game in the forecasted conditions (20* and wind chill 10*)

was the 2007 season !

 

 

Those two facts surprised me greatly.

Looking at remaining AFC schedules, Denver has the toughest. Their opponents have a combined 35 wins (weakest team, Tenn, is a road game). Compared to the Steelers, whose opponents have 17 victories (toughest matchup, Ravens, is at home).

Last playoff spot needs 9-7. One scenario would be if Balt beats the Steelers, then Steelers get last wildcard with 10-6 record. But, I don't see a 6-6 team running the table, nor do I see Denver winning 2 of their remaining games. Dolphins have to beat the Cardinals, Bills (in Buff), and hope seedlings are decided by week 17 so NE plays Jacoby Brisket.

 

Who does everybody like coming out of the AFC South?

Texans have the easiest schedule. Colts own the head to head vs Titans, and could vs Texans. Tenn has to play Denver and Dallas.

AFC South? Well first I look at the QB's ( the helmsmen) and that says bye bye to Houston real fast.

I see the Colts going 2-2 in this home stretch.

I see the Titans going 1-3 in their last 4, only beating the Jaguars.

So the Indy Colts win the AFC South.

 

I think Denver has every bit a chance to beat KC in Arrowhead and that will be their second win to go 2 out of 4.

I believe Miami is more likely to go 1-4 over the last 4 games.

 

I see your Ravens get the Eagles next week after my Redskins kick their rears this Sunday.

Nobody likes to pay attention because of what they have amounted to the last 50 years. Nothing. But an impressive win today by the Lions against the Saints. In control from beginning to end. Stafford played a heck of a game. In total control of the offense. 30/42, 341 yards, 2 TD's, O Int (again), 111.3 Running game still anemic, but some good runs at important points in the game for first downs. Defense was stout, including 3 Int's.

 

They're beginning to cause me to pay attention, watch the entire game. Dare I say a fan. Which is a very dangerous proposition considering their history of ineptitude. But they are winning FB games, and in full control of their destiny with this win today. A different breed of Cat or SOL? YTBD. But at least they look like a semi-competent NFL football team. Which is something that one could never mention with the Leo's for a very long time.

 

The final game of the year, at home against the Pack, is looming large.

Out of those, I like Pittsburgh <ack!> and Dallas... and Atlanta, I think (offense should score 17 pts - LA scoring 10 pts or less in last 5 out of 6 games)

Not much confidence in the rest - Seahawks a week removed from a 5 pt outing vs TB, Minn has no offense, Eagles tough at home against a Redskins team on a 2 game skid. But, Eagles on a 3 game slide, averaging only 14 pts in those games - not as sharp as they were earlier in the season.

 

Tonight, I lean towards Oakland. On paper... yada, yada, yada... throw out the paper when the 2016 Chiefs are in the house, LOL. Conditions will be cold, but not much wind. Weather seems to less of a factor nowadays than it used to. Higher scoring favors Oakland, but we'll see what kind of tricks Andy Reid has up his sleeve.

It will be a tall order to take down the Chiefs at Arrowhead in primetime, but I feel that Oakland will find a way.

The rushing and passing attacks of the Raiders offense is statistically stronger than KC's.

I think the Raiders win 24-20.

I would imagine the hard core fans are lighting the charcoal right now in

the tailgate lots.

Oakland play calling was terrible. Raiders running effectively. 3rd and 1. Two jump balls. Chiefs with the chance to ice the game.

They ran a great pick/crossing route play earlier... I guess that would be too easy.

Well the Chiefs proved all three of us to be drinking a wee bit too much of the Silver and Black koolade.

I gotta hand it to K C they played well on both sides of the ball. The punt return from Hill was phenomenal.

And, in typical Chiefs fashion, the punt return TD was the difference in the game. (Oakland in FG range at the end)

Tyreek Hill is quite a weapon. Return TD, beat the secondary deep for a TD. NBC showed how much the LB and S shifted when KC faked the jet sweep to him - all the OCs watching at home got woodies.

I got worried when everybody on the NFL Network set picked KC.
