I hit my club pro's set of VFP's yesterday afternoon and they felt outstanding. Are the C-Taper shafts an upcharge in these?

Nope http://www.nike.com/us/en_us/c/golf/clubs/irons#WRxXL3u0xZ-3

I'm liking these irons so far (coming from the 716CB). I'm a sweeper so the wear isn't that bad (yet). Very forgiving and long.

These irons continue to impress me. Today I spent the time at the range working in groups of three clubs trying to hit each one the same distance as the shortest club in the group. Hey were incredibly easy to control both distance and trajectory to hit the right number. The KbS 120v's feel great.

Brought out the matching AW....stupid easy to hit and worked great for chipping/pitching too.

Well...I'm reshafting the 2-iron. These heads take collared ferrules, sigh. Ended up putting a .370 NV 105x hybrid shaft that I sanded down to fit .355 perfectly and ended up not using a collared ferrule as the shaft was snug and centered and I didnt have one that fit worth a damn. The head weighed in at 230.2g and I added a 4g tip weight and trimmed the shaft accordingly. If I need more head weight I'll take it somewhere and get it hot melted as there is a port on the toe. This is more of an experiment for now but should provide a better comparison against my hybrids/fairway's. I haven't used steel in long clubs since college.

These are now in the bag. 4-AW w/KBS C-Taper stiff hardstepped 1x. Added two of the Engage wedges (54 SS & 58 TS) as well with DG S400 after the Nike Tour Van made a stop at my local club a couple weekends ago for a fitting. I'm really loving the 58 TS.

Not to hijack the thread, but is anyone playing the Vapor Fly hybrids? I'm looking to fill a gap between my 4 iron and 3 fairway.

I played the hybrid and never got along with the look/shape. Switched to the 2 iron and I might propose to it soon I'm so in love.

I bought a set of these to replace VPC's which replaced PC's. Picked up half a club going to the VPC's from the PC's and a full club with the Vapor Fly Pro's. I have recoil F4 shafts and these are Fantastic. 5-PW, but like these SO much I am going to add the Gap Wedge. At first I was playing from over the greens like my youth, but after 7 rounds I have adjusted. So easy to swing and hit straight. For me they are easier to draw then fade. Best irons I have ever owned and these will spend a long, long time in my bag. Where can I go? They are THAT good. The VPC's and PC's are great clubs also but these are amazing. Never hit a better iron, these darn near swing themselves. Finish is still in great shape, and look great. Nike has a huge winner here and if the market knew, they would sell a ton.

Added the Vapor Fly Driver and it is stupid easy to hit with a great feel. Previously I played the Covert 2.0 Tour which is a great driver but the Fly is just easier to hit.

KEEPER!!

These irons are amazing. They are definitely at least one full club longer for me than the Ping i25's and Apex CF16 irons I've played this season. There are two slightly downhill Par 3's on my home course that play to anywhere between 195-210 depending on the tee and flag locations. With previous sets, I struggled with these two holes because I didn't hit long irons well and have never been consistent with a hybrid. Problem solved with the VFP's. I'm now confidently hitting 4, 5 or 6 iron on these two holes depending on the wind. It's also changed my tee shot mentality on some of the tighter Par 4's knowing that I can consistently hit 4 iron well. Nike has a winner here.

I've got a full set (2 thru PW, AW and Engage SW) coming next week. I hit them at the store and I'm expecting them to be one club longer because of the XP95 shafts (the strong lofts are the same as my TMB's).
