CPO ebay cheap 815

Just pulled the trigger as well...

 

Snapped a shaft extension I put in my gamer K15, so I decided to buy a replacement shaft and a "new" driver just in case I don't like the way the new shaft performs.

 

Luckily my wife has been on a binge lately so I shouldn't get in too much trouble if I don't intercept the packages at the house.

Not to mention, within 30 days you can send it back. I bought one from them a couple of weeks ago on ebay, and it's already sent back.

Yeah that is not "like new" condition, every Like New I've purchased on CPO has been in plastic. It is "used" by the fact it rode a truck to a retail store and then back to Callaway.

Mine wasn't in plastic either but it hasn't been hit. It had one minimal crown scuff from shop wear somewhere.

This is more like what I typically get from CPO in like new condition. I was sent 2 different 815 DBD's last month because the first one was a little better than the one pictured. The second one was worse. I fell for the trap again a week ago on an i25 in like new condition and it has a decent amount of wear on the face.

 

Continually disappointed, hopefully I learn my lesson after this time.

Mine arrived yesterday. It wasn't plastic wrapped, but sure looks like it's never seen a ball, it did have a sticker on the face.

 

The headcover and tool are included, but I'm not loving the headcover.

 

Figures crap weather rolls in for the next few days so the face will remain unscathed. I'm sure I'll disassemble it completely with my new torx tool.

Are the heel/toe weights marked somehow? It appears they are identical. I'll put them on a scale later because my micro-vision sux and I can't see any different marks to indicate weight.

That looks about the same as mine did when it came in except the sticker was on the bottom and not on the face.

 

The weights should have a one and a seven on them if they are the stock ones.(Someone correct me if I'm wrong) At least that is what mine came with.

Considering it was like a $2 difference between "Good" and "Like New" condition, I don't think even the biggest bargain hunters among us went with anything less than "Like New" on these.... :cheesy:

OK, I had to run out for some supplies earlier and there happened to be a driving range sort of on the way...

 

If you've been following my posts with enthusiasm (and who hasn't?) you'll know that I'd rather be set on fire than mindlessly beat balls at a driving range, but with a brand new driver, no rounds scheduled for at least 4 days, a bucketful of shag balls, and a driving range sort of on the way... well, guess where I ended up?

 

Miniature report to follow....

 

So in street shoes, with about a 5 swing warmup, off of a rubber driving range mat and into a fairly stiff headwind, I smacked 20 (non range) balls into an imaginary fairway. Out of the 20 balls....

 

4 of them were absolute showstoppers, high soft draws, deep into the range, I'll say about 240-50 but remember the headwind.

 

10 of the other balls were, pretty damn good, 200 ish carry, the kind where you'd just bend over to pick up the tee because you know it's safe.

 

The remaining balls were, eh, OK. Decent drives with maybe a slight pull or push.

 

All 20 shots would have been quite playable.

 

The club seems to be quite forgiving, and properly struck performs excellent. I know it's the honeymoon phase, but I've got a good feeling about this stick. Thanks OP for posting the deal.

 

As information the settings were internal weight (gravity core) port thing up, 7 gram weight in the rear, shaft settings "S" & 0, I think. At some point I'll fine tune it for my non-PGA swing.

Oh, well that stinks. Still, even with a $35 difference between "Acceptable" and "Like New", I'd go with "Like New". No telling what you might get with the former, so not worth the risk IMO. But, you can always return it if it arrives in unacceptable condition for you, so its your call in the end

I bought a DBD in "Like New" condition and it arrived yesterday. It wasn't shrink wrapped, but it looks brand new. Thanks to OP for posting the deal!

My 815 came on Thursday and I ordered (was a different shaft combo so not this low of a price) in Like New condition. In the past I've gotten shrink wrapped or impeccable clubs, like the XR Pro deal going on. This time, the head has quite a few marks on it including a few through the clearcoat. It's probably closer to the low end of Very good or good condition. A little disappointing. It's not really viewable from address, but it's there. I've contacted them and I'm sure they'll say send it back and exchange. Honestly I'd keep it for a partial refund but I'll exchange if that's the only option. Not worth the like new price though.

I bought one last week and it came with some scratches on crown face and sole. More like very good condition. Called up CPO and explained the condition of club. Yesterday box arrived to my house with shrink wrapped club in exchange for old one. Good company and customer service.
