Member 1in2out_hitting3 not shipping my item. Just a warning to others

Paid for a driver on May 22nd from 1in2out_hitting3 and never received it and communication has stopped. He contacted me from a WTB ad I had up. Can post all PMs if needed but this is a warning to others. Essentially was told it would ship Monday and communication was fine. He let me know when he was leaving to ship on Monday and said he would have me tracking that night. No tracking comes that night, no big deal. No tracking Tuesday, no problem at all, I know he shipped it FedEx ground or so I thought and would arrive Wednesday if that was the case. Sent follow up message wednesday and got the typical "my bad man tracking is in my car, Ill have it to you soon, thought it got moving tuesday so you should have it tomorrow). All fine with me, communication still good. Tracking is not super important to me as long at it gets there. No PM that night and then driver doesnt show up Thursday, still no problem FedEx can be late some times, another PM to him stating no driver and tracking would really help. Silence. No driver friday. Called FedEx to try and track shipment by my address and they were friendly. No shipment in their system going to my address. Communication stopped from seller. Tried his email from where he sent the pics from but still nothing.

 

Thats where Im at. No big deal, paid goods and services and started the dispute on Friday and already escalated it to a ciaim. No responses at all from him. Ill get my money back in a week or 2 so not a problem at all there. What is strange is I messaged the guy who left him positive feedback and he said his experience was fine and item showed up exactly when he said it would. Mainly posting for 2 reasons. 1 is that he is new and secondly he posted this ad (see below) and sold everything supposedly but no one has left him feedback. Figured others may be in the same boat. I already left negative feedback. First time this has ever happened to me. Not worried about money as I will get that back. Just warning others and seeing if anyone who possibly bought stuff from the below ad has received anything.

He just PMed me saying he supposedly accepted the dispute and refunded my money when I opened the claim. That's just another lie it's looking like as I don't have any refund from him and opened the claim on Friday

Doubtful. I did message him a link to this thread. I just have a bigger issue with the lying. If he took my money and went silent then so be it. Just leading you on and in is frustrating

I bought his Ping G head. His emails were quick and he shipped it out the next day and I received it shortly after. It was in excellent condition. A smooth deal, with one exception. He forgot to include the headcover. He did send me a PM before I received the package explaining his mistake and said the headcover will ship separately and should arrive today or tomorrow. Hopefully it arrives tomorrow....Mistakes happen, so I am going to give him a chance to make this right.

This is what I thought was odd. The other guy had an overall good experience too. Why send out two items and scam on the third. This was for a 10.5 ping g driver

I am definitely interested to see if the cover shows up. I really wanted the driver too, would much rather have the driver than the refund. No response from him last night since his BS message of saying he approved the refund (I have sent 2 after) and he does have a link to this)

I messaged him a bit ago just asking what was going on and why he would do this since everything seemed good before I paid and that PP will side with me anyway in 7-10 days and I will get my money back then. Still silence

Really wish the site would take a zero tolerance stand against this sort of crap.

 

You pull something like this - you are banned. Period. Your IP is marked and you cannot come back.

 

I mean, simply stated, what do these types of members add to the site? Excitement and something to talk about? Educational opportunities?

 

The sum of it is really fairly straightforward. This forum/website would be a lot better off without such members and such accountability would go a long way to send the message that if you mess around and pull something stupid like this situation you will lose your membership and will not be allowed back. It's not like it is a large number either - very small percentage. So the site/forum won't miss them one bit.

 

The final message on such a thread could come from a mod:

 

"Former member 1in2out_hitting3 has been determined guilty of multiple violations of the standards of the BST section of this website. As a result this member has been banned permanently from the site. Future similar activities will lead to similar measures of absolute accountability."

 

Now THAT would send a message. Loud and clear.

Medic...you can ban based on username and IP. However, by doing so the site really hasn't accomplished much. All the scammer has to do is log on via Internet Proxy...or VPN...create a new username...and start over.

 

There's a resourse constraint issue at hand. How many resources does this site want to throw at a repeatable and unstoppable problem?

It was the new ping g 10.5 with an Alta stiff shaft. I have a WTB up :). Good news is that paypal decided in my favor today. Refund sometime in the next 7 days. First time this had happened to me so idk how fast it will be.

I would not anticipate on receiving it honestly. He probably never had one. He never responded to my PP claim to my knowledge, not a message that I could see anyways. PP took care of the matter pretty quick for me. Now on the hunt to find another Ping G driver for around that price! That was a good deal!

Sorry to hear that your cover never arrived (and likely never existed in the first place). I wouldn't hold your breath though on PP partially refunding you based on it being missing. It would've needed to be included in the item description from the initial payment, and even then its hard for them to evaluate the proper value of the cover by itself.

 

The only circumstance in which I would suggest filing a claim is if you are looking to get a full refund and return the head. But if you have gamed it already, I would advise against it out of principle.

 

I am currently out of town on business, but I believe I have an extra G cover sitting in my room that is without a driver to sit upon. If this doesn't get resolved, I'd be happy to send it your way if you'd be willing to cover the shipping!
