Well, I still have not received the G head cover that was supposed to be included with the Ping G head he sent me. I'll have to look into filing a dispute with PayPal and see what happens.....

 

Sorry to hear that your cover never arrived (and likely never existed in the first place). I wouldn't hold your breath though on PP partially refunding you based on it being missing. It would've needed to be included in the item description from the initial payment, and even then its hard for them to evaluate the proper value of the cover by itself.

 

The only circumstance in which I would suggest filing a claim is if you are looking to get a full refund and return the head. But if you have gamed it already, I would advise against it out of principle.

 

I am currently out of town on business, but I believe I have an extra G cover sitting in my room that is without a driver to sit upon. If this doesn't get resolved, I'd be happy to send it your way if you'd be willing to cover the shipping!

Ouch, sorry to hear about it OP. Same sh*t happened to me but that was eBay...when I reached him about 4 days later after payment, he decided to cancel. Only good thing was ebay cancel is an automatic refund but I left him neg feedback anyway. Mongrels are out there and all we can do is post here to warn others. Hope you SCORE a nice 10.5 G head after all this crap...

this is reality for me... as a lefty in everything else anytime I play poorly righty I ponder this. I have an entire bag of clubs just waiting for the switch and have been waiting for 3 years lol

Thanks for the generous offer! I started the PayPal claim process so we will see if he agrees with the refund for the missing cover. I continue to try and find the "good" in people, so I still believe he will make it right. He did offer to refund $25 on a PM should I not receive the cover. He did not provide any tracking info, so whether it actually shipped or not who knows. I get to play the waiting game now....

Yes, it was a flooding issue. Fortunately he had a generator and he could still climb up onto the roof, plug his pc into his generator, and login going all over this website. Of course he never visited or posted in this thread but he only had so much fuel for the generator so he had limited time online.

Today I get an email saying An eCheck payment from XXX was declined by the sender's bank. We will automatically try to process this payment again in 3 business days. Sorry to hear that this still hasn't been fully resolved for you OP. While it does blow that your refund is getting delayed as a result, there isn't much of anything you need to worry about. Even if PP is unable to get the funds from this scammer's account, they will eat the loss and refund your payment out of their own pocket. They are very good about taking care of its users when they get taken advantage of by scammers. After all, if they didn't do so many people (myself included) wouldn't feel nearly as comfortable about using their services if their funds weren't fully protected.

Thanks, this addresses what I was looking for in an answer. I don't care about waiting for the money, thats not an issue at all. Just wanted to make sure I was getting it back since I bought a new one with my PP credit and need to pay that off lol

Can't help but wonder what makes some people tick. Must feel awesome coming in, going on the attack, and knowing all the while in reality it is an act of cowardice that could never have been done in person. Sort of fills the void for those whose lives lack excitement and meaning.

 

Fortunately boards like this have awesome block features. It's nice to be able to keep the place fun and relaxing and not deal with internet trolls hell bent on adding little in content and using places like this for some odd form of entertainment.
