Feedback on these TM irons please

I am interested in investing in the following:

TP MC 2014 or Rsi TP or Psi Forged

TP MC 2014 long irons look really good, plenty of forgiveness in the set, but 3 to 7 are cast and I have only every played forged irons. These are fantastic value now

Rsi TP is forged, but everyone says they are hard and sound horrible? (Seem to be good enough for Jason Day and Martin Kaymer thought) - also good value now

Psi Forged - look superb,, but are very expensive and TM irons never hold any value for a dedicated Ho. Hard to find any reviews for these and they don't seem to be a big hit on tour?

Anyone played each?

Honest feedback would really be appreciated

I like the shape of Taylormade player irons, they have good lines to them. Of those Ive only hit the MC and they felt like a cast iron, wasn't bad or anything but nothing that special. I would like to see irons without the slots, imo, they don't really help that much and make it nearly impossible to have an all forged iron so you are giving up some feel with only having a forged face thats welded on.

MC's are the most beautiful, RSi TP's are loud but they perform for me, PSi forged are much more of a player's iron than the others but they feel the best out of the three.

RSi TP are gamers in my opinion. I've never had a issue with sound and do not agree with them being "hard". I find them to feel as soft as any when hit pure. Also think they're fairly forgiving on slight mishits. Under rated club in my opinion.

Saying that, I recently picked up some PSi's (non tour) to try out but still have my RSi TP's in case I don't like them.

Like you said, TMs don't hold there value. Maybe you should look else where to 'invest your money'. Ping I, Apex, AP2, 850 forged, MP25 to name a few. ;)

I'm still playing the MC's, I like everything about them. The split cast/forged set never bothered me, great set for the money.

2014 mc irons are the best out of the group followed by the rsi tp. Hit the psi forged and hated the feel. Had the 2014 mc for a while and loved the feel just sold them and made some $$$. The rsi are great and nice looking to boot!!

The 2014 MC irons are what I play, and they are fantastic. Not overly forgiving, but enough for a quality ball striker to miss it slightly and still get a positive result.

As for the RSI TP, understand the Tour Issue heads are made from softer carbon steel, so if you can pick up a set of those, you might like them as well. The retail sets will feel more firm and clicky, but of course be more durable as well. Retail for retail, I'd go 2014 MC without question.

I have not played the RSI or the PSI irons so I cannot comment on those, but I have played the 2014 MCs. They are a solid set of clubs, however I found them to be a little large for my liking. The 8-PW are forged and feel very nice, while the 7-3 are cast with slots and feel good, but not as good as the 8-PW.

I would suggest looking at the previous generation of MCs in the photo below. The entire set is forged and have a more compact look than the 2014 version. They feel great, look great, and offer a good level of forgiveness for a player's iron. Oh, and no slots on them anywhere. You can find sets in great shape for under $300.

My good buddy who's a total gamer got a set of the PSi Forged at the beginning of this summer and he swears by them. For me, that's quite the endorsement because he's well known in our circle of friends for being extremely particular about his clubs

In my opinion: RSi TP > 2014 MC > PSi Tour

The 2014 MC was a fantastic iron, but for me the RSi TP was just a little better and the face slots work. I haven't had any of the sound/feel issues that others have had. The PSi Tours are a nice club, but I stuck with the RSi TP this season.

All solid irons, I think the PSi Tour look the best. Seems almost to have onset and on the TM site you can order a 2-iron but they don't list it under specs.

Not sure the difference in feel is distinguishable but apparently the tour issue/tour only '14 TP MCs cast irons (3-7) are soft cast carbon steel. More expensive when you can find a set but supposedly softer.

Thanks for the feedback - this was really valuable

Over the weekend I pulled the trigger on the a set of RSi TP's (3-pw), got a very good deal

Moving from Titleist 714 MB's these are a really forgiving..

Played 2 rounds - they are good, very good, the face slots really work, hit loads of quality irons, especially long irons

Are they as soft as a set of MP33's or MP68's??? - no, but I did not find any issues with feel or sound - this is just nonsense

I did, however, feel they were a little shorter than my MB, probably going from PX6.0 to KBS tours there is more spin

My only debate is whether to re-shaft them with the PX........

The RSi TP are a more traditional lofted iron. (7 iron @ 34*) You could always strengthen the lofts. I read a article or saw a video stating Jason Day bent his 2.5-3* degree's strong. Which I was going to do b/c I was falling a little short with them too. Then noticed the PSi irons are exactly that (2.5-3* strong) so I'm going to give them a try first. If I don't get a long with them I'll bend my RSi's. Anyway its always an option in case you dont really want to change shafts.
