Thank you Costco golf loving employees, yellow RS in stock in Albany, Oregon.  They never stocked the silver striped ones in yellow.

Nice!  I checked a few days ago to see where the closest ones to Roseburg were and it was Sparks, NV.  Gotta think our store will get them soon.

Edit to add:  The site says Eugene has them as well.  I'll be at the Ducks' spring game and Civil War baseball game.  I'll sneak over and get a box of yellows.

I played 9 holes today with the yellow red stripes.  It was about 60 degrees and a steady 1/2 - 1 club wind. I'm not a high spin golfer and swing the driver in the low 100 mph range.

The new RS is a little longer for me than the silver model off the driver.  I felt like the RS went as far as the original KSig ball with the driver and irons.  I think the RS has a little less spin than the original KSig from 100 yards and in, flew well against the wind, and the durability was excellent.  I really like the RS yellow model, it's a great golf ball.

The guy who signs off on all the Kirkland items started as a fork lift driver.

I seem to recall that Lee Trevino worked as a driving range ball shagger at one point.

Made a trip to Costco yesterday.  No Yellow :classic_sad:.  Picked up a box of white tho (2 dozen).

My gamer is the Maxfli Tour.  Switched over from the Vice Pro mainly due to availability and cost and have absolutely fell for this ball.  However, I do play courses with allot of water hazards, marsh and fescue.  On days that I don't have my best game or it's really windy (shoreline golf courses tend to be) I'm in the realm of losing 2-3 balls I use the Ksig.  I've found I don't lose anything on performance other than a different feel which the Maxfli Tour beats the Ksig on.

Also, when I play with my son I tend to supply the balls 🤦‍♂️ sooooooo - He plays the Ksig.  The boy (24 yrs and 6'3" hits it a mile but don't always know where it's going)

They never stock yellow in my local warehouse either. Total bummer.

It's a long story but I'll try to shorten it........

There are multiple Costco's on Long Island (NY).  My two closest stock the yellow, however, only one in the region (liquor license rules) has the Kirkland alcohol (Very Very good and reasonably priced).  I drove 45 minutes to go to the one Costco that has the liquor store but I'm within 15 minutes of two other Costco's.  That Costco only had white and no other golf stuff.

This ball is just so good. Since switching I'm sure I've gained distance, I'm hitting shorter clubs into most holes and I'm generally online too. Not sure if it's the ball or a lot of practice from me but the ball is surely contributing. Either way I'm not using anything else.

I've gone from 9.8 to 6.9 index, genuinely feel sorry for anyone who wants to spend more money on something other than this ball.

Good thing you have a backup!  Nothing worse than wasting a round playing a "bad" ball!

I played today with a Vice Pro Plus and the new Kirkland. Both are balls I have not played before. The Vice was a “mint” purchase ($17.95 a doz) . The biggest difference I noticed was how much louder the Kirkland was off the driver. Both are the firmest balls I have played this year. I did not dislike the Kirkland but did prefer the Vice today. I bought the Vice Pro Plus by mistake. I was wanting to get the Vice Pro. I’m a 70 year old with ~90mph driver swing speed. With all that said, I need to play a full round with the Kirkland to get a better gauge of how it plays.

Finally played the Yellow Red stripe box myself this weekend. Good decently high flying ball. Big fan of it off the woods and longer irons. I’m a decently high spinning playing on my wedges and short irons (I feel). The ball didn’t rip back all that well for me but, I think the greens were to blame. Slow and not really receptive.

Best comparison I could give them based on the round round is a Bridgestone B RX. Definitely more to follow but, for the price, no issues. Durability was decent.

IMO the red is generally a lot better than the silver. Distance seems roughly the same as other tour balls. Short game spin is a little lacking though. Every once in a while it seems to ride up the face and doesn't spin as much. The shorter the shot the more likely it seems to be. Durability is better than the silver but still bad. 100% of full swings with 9 iron and down leave some kind of cut mark.

They are a better ball than I am a player

100%

Only played a few rounds so far but am committing to Red Stripe box for the year.  I finally used up a mix of Z Stars and XVs (about half were new from a previous year and the others were used AAAA that I never saw a difference with, but was leary of thinking they might've been sitting in a pond in their past, and they were a variation of versions).

RS does everything I need it to do.  It's not short from tee to green.  It spins as wanted.  The only real variable is me.  I can play just as good or bad with a premium ball that's subject to my input (which ranges from good to bad a lot right now lol).  So for me atm it's RS.  It's freakin $14 / dozen in store!  I'll give it a good run before getting into the next value-find ball, Maxfli Tour / Tour X.

Not gonna lie, it's fun hitting it out there and having relatively long playing partners find out it's a Kirkland past them 😆

Here's one that saw all 18 holes incl. a cart path, tree trouble, one greenside bunker, and one fairway bunker.  Got a bit chewed up, but it's as expected, and I'd just play it til it's lost.

Gotta say, I've been pretty happy with these balls, enough that I ended up picking up a box of the yellow as well after my post here a couple weeks ago.  Definitely zero gucci factor, but I'm just out there trying to survive. 😆  Pretty solid golf ball IMHO, especially for the price.

Fyi.  A comparison has been posted somewhere on the internet (hint). Why it took this long is anyones guess.

I read it this morning.  Confirmed that I will be playing the RS for the foreseeable future.  Probably need to stock up before the Titleist lawyers get to work.

I bought the 24-pack Kirkland several weeks ago but have not played it a full round. After reading the MGS review, I need to play it.

I was thinking the same thing.  I’ve found most of what was stated in the comparison to be true as it relates to this ball for my game.
