Taking family to Disneyland in March, wanna get a few rounds in. Will be staying near Disney, what are some good courses to try that are within an hour from there? First time in the area. Don't wanna spend more than $100-$120 a round

Industry Hills is not too far from Disneyland.. Two great tracks there.

Tustin ranch mid week can be had for around that. Oak creek is pretty solid. Industry was pretty burnt out last time I played but its summer and was about 105* there at the time. Tijeras creek is nice and kind of a hidden gem in orange county.

Are you driving down from Calgary? It is a phenomenal road trip along the Washington, Oregon and California coast. And you pass by some of the worlds best golfing spots.

I did it a few times when the kids were younger and they like the coast line better than the DL.

So this would be completely not what you are asking for but.... Why not take the time/$ you would spend on 3 rounds and go play Pebble (if it is on your bucket list). Really easy to get on as single. It is however a good 6 hr drive. But if you focus on that one round you would have more time of the family and get to play one of the top courses in the world.

Sorry for the odd ball suggestion, but over the years I found playing one 'famous' course during a family trip worked out better overall than playing a few times at less memorable courses.

Black Gold and Strawberry Farms will be best and most expensive. Westridge/Industry Hills/Coyote Hills are ok. Mile Square shouldn't be too far. They have 36, I always liked the Classic better. Players has more water and is more "tricked up."

Navy course in Cypress is just down the 22. Flat course with green complexes done by Nicklaus design group. It's like $60. Just a muni. Not as nice as Mile Square IMO.

By the way you should go hit a bucket at the Island Golf Centre. It is about 10 minute drive away from DL. It a fun "dive range" with lots of colourful characters.

Fun place to chill out for an hour.

I don't want to repeat what others have said so here are my 2 cents. BTW these are not NICE courses, but based on proximity to Disneyland, I've played at the following and had fun. PS go early morning so you don't spend 5+ hours out there:

Long Beach

- Lakewood

- El Dorado

Fountain Valley

- Mile Square

Irvine

- Rancho San Joaquin
