3 birds, 3 bogeys, 3 birds, 3 bogeys, 3 pars, 3 bogeys

3 in a row. To start a round.

I didn't even break 80, lol.

I've also had 7 in one round and didn't break par.

There's a whole lot of WTF shots in my game.

Birdies. I know there have been threads in the past but I had a first last night so thought I'd bring it up again.

Went out after work last night for a quick nine (45 minutes for the two of us, just for reference and to make RSJ's head spin!). Parred the first four holes then ran off a string of four straight birdies 10're, 3'er, tap in, and 10'er. I've had three in a row before but never four.

Then the last hole, shortish dogleg left par four with trouble both sides. Try to play smart with iron off the tee, move it too far left and we never find the darn ball. Waning daylight so no trip back to the tee, what would have been a really nice nine has no conclusion.

So no five in a row, what's your best streak?

You had a hot streak of four birdies in a row and decided to hit iron off the tee...?

Arnold Palmer would be ashamed.

Walter: Tell me Bobby, why do you play this game?
Bobby: I play because I love it.
Walter: Well I play for the money. I have to win. That is why every time we face each other I will always beat you.

One time during a high school match I birdied the first three holes. I was playing with three other players from different teams and had never played with them before. Three months later I was playing again with one of those guys and again birdied the first three holes. He looks at me and says "Do you do this every f*****g time you play!"

Ha, so true. Actually I play iron off that tee quite a bit. Depends on the wind. But I do think I was extra "guiding" with that particular swing. :(

Followed it up today by managing to make........zero birdies. And lose $50 in the proces. Double:((

4 for the first time this season. Started the round with a triple off an unplayable and then par, par, par, par, birdie, birdie, birdie, birdie, par, par, par. First time I think i ever hit 11 greens in a row too. Ended up making a couple doubles and another birdie down the stretch. Nobody could figure out how I shot 74 with a triple and 2 doubles or a 74 with 5 birdies until they put the 2 together. Also made for a nice card of 33-41 based on where they all fell because it was a shotgun start.

My best is 5 in a row to start the back nine. By the time I got to the 15th tee I could barely get the ball on the tee I was so nervous.

I've never had more than 3 in a row, but i have done 5 of 6 holes.

I also had a round once where i made it to the 15th hole without a par and shot +2

I have also had a round where i had 18 straight 2-putt pars.

I've had 3 a number of times, but I've also been 5 under after 4 holes too without getting three in a row.

Four in a row a few times... but twice the four in a row were on the same holes on the same course. Most birdies in a round is 5

When I saw the title of this thread, then saw your moniker deadsolid...shank, I thought, "man, this is going to be ugly!"

Ha! Never thought of that, but I've had a lot more consecutive shanks than I have birdies.

My record for the unmentionable I think is 4. More memorable than the number of birdies I have had in a row only because of the pain. The unmentionable is like Montezuma's revenge. Rare, but when it happens you are left retching again and again and don't want to repeat the experience.

I have 3 in row a couple of times and most in a round is like 7 for even par round or 1 over can't remember.

Most in 9 is 5 birdies and I shot 33, I think

Six in a row. And it was to close out the biggest bet (at the time) I ever had: a $100 nassau against a guy at my club who didn't respect my game and "challenged" me to a bet.

Birdies were:

13: tap-in

14: 10-feet

15: 5-feet

16: 3-feet

17: 9-feet

18: tap-in

Damn that was fun. LOL

5 Birdies for me, unfortunately I'm well known to a lot of my golfing buddies as being streaky good and streaky bad...haha. This round was about 2 years back on our annual golf trip

Par: 4 5 4 4 3 5 3 5 3

Score: 5 3 3 3 2 4 5 6 5

So yeah Bogey, Eagle, Birdie, Birdie, Birdie, Birdie, Double, Bogey, Double for a run of the mill even par on the front...haha. Back nine was 9 straight bogeys to be 9 worse than the front...... :black eye: Unfortunately a lot of this was related to putting. I three jacked the last three holes on the front with some penalty strokes mixed in, and then all 4 GIR's I had on the back. Putting combined with my mental game was my demise up until the last year or so.

I will say I didnt even realize what I had done until the birdie rolled in on the first par three and my opponent started whining I should have been in A flight for the trip...haha. Boy did I prove him wrong.... :swoon2:

Best streak was in a weekend money game. Shot five over on the front then blew up on the back. Lipped an 8 footer on 10 for birdie, birdied 11 from 3 feet, a couple pars then went birdie from 4' on the second hardest hole (14), birdie from 12' on a 215 yd par 3 (15), birdie on 16, chipped in for eagle from about 20' on par 5 17 then birdied 18 with a long bomb to shoot 28 on the back.

Have never been close to anything like that since. Felt like golf was the easiest thing in the world for 9 holes.

Could be very streaky also especially in the old days when the early morn pot games were post celebrations the night before. When choosing teams I became known as the X factor never knew what I'd shoot. So I did have a streak of 4 birdies #6,7,8,9 and still made the turn in 40. But the back was better as I only had to follow one ball instead of the 2 I was usuallying seeing on the front.

Ya know, I don't even know the answer to this. I honesty can't remember. A couple of rounds stand out, but not for birdie runs. Earlier this year, I started birdie, bogey and then ran off 16 straight pars. Damn near threw the putter at the cart girl that day. I remember going birdie, eagle, birdie in a round that I shot 92. That's a NINE and a TWO. And that was a day after I shot a 69 on a fairly tough track on the other side of town. Just goes to show that there must be balance in the universe lol.
