Hah, no problem! I had to do some googling to make sure those dates were accurate. I really like the KK shafts (obviously) but the product line has been a mess from a naming/marketing standpoint and it confuses just about anyone that digs in to it. The whole XT/TX bit and full retail releases vs. tour only stuff etc etc.

Best summary I have ever seen and SUPER ACCURATE. I have the very first etched XTS black/white XT in both driver and 3w. Absolute unicorn.

 

IMO, MRC should just rerelease it, rebranded as something entirely “new.” The fact that McIroy, Fleet, Scott, etc are still using it is unbelievable. When I played in the MRC event at the pga show they mentioned that the KK and the D+ would be phased out (like any other shaft) but I sure hope they save that formula somewhere. Timeless shaft.

I think it really needs the OEM counterpart to push the public visibility plus a bit of fairy dust magic to really "work" from a retail standpoint. I mean look at the Tensei Pro Orange, Rory and Tiger bag it for like 15 minutes and it becomes the hottest thing out there. I think it is partially the Tiger effect though, I mean he basically resurrected the D+ Limited which was about to be shelved, and guys like Fleetwood and Scott are pretty under the radar by comparison. Who knows, it's a timeless shaft though.

100% agree. I mean....MRC could have a field day with it as a one-off release.... just say it’s been a tour staple for nearly a decade....rebranded and played by 4-5 of the OWGRs top 10. And........ SOLD OUT in 2 hours.

Hey man I bought another one for a mate who lives a far way away from me

Its the same as mine KK 70 TX.His swing speed is 119 to 120 on trackman with a fast transition. Loves it, has it tipped half an inch but wants to go to a full 1 inch of tipping to tighten dispersion a bit more

Is it stupid for him to do or not a bad idea at that swing speed

It is a small adjustment, so no I wouldn't consider that stupid under any circumstances, especially at his speed.
