I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the Black/White contrast. I generally prefer my putters free from distractions with just a sight dot or line being the norm. And these contrasts are quite 'in ya face'. However, I'll certainly be giving the #9 a roll to see if my suspicions can be dispelled.

I am trying to find out how heavy they can make it with other weights. Article on Golf Week, said they wanted to make them all adjustable with changeable sole weights, so we will see.

 

I need a Tank, or at least 375g.

 

I will own the #7 or the V-Line.

I'm usually an Odyssey fan but these are awful. You know pros are still going to be using the regular Tour insert once the hype settles down

was just going to type nothing for me when I saw the v line fang crank hosel/plumbers neck !!! will see what price they are over here but looks like a 34" model for me for my next buy ..

I'll take a #7 or R-Line in 33" with a red mid-sized Iomic grip. I can't get into the counter balanced thing.

Really want to try the insert on this putter. That said, the "new" Versa alignment and the red lines is just too much for me. I am a #7 guy and the white middle with the red lines and dots is just too much. The 2-Ball is clean, but other than that a lot going on at address.

 

I am sure they will be putting this insert into some of their cleaner looking heads for their tour guys.

 

Looking forward to at least trying the insert.

At the ECPC, I must have only rolled the V-Line Fang, #7, and my R-Line, because I didn't remember the perpendicular red alignment lines. I usually don't like any alignment lines, so that is overkill for me. Other than that, I think they look really good. And the insert technology is pretty cool! I hope they release some slow-motion impact videos as part of the marketing.

The standard O-Works putters have a pair of 15-gram weights in the sole, one in the heel and one in the toe, but they can be changed.

 

“We found in working with a lot of players, specifically on tour, a lot of them want different weight heads,” Rollinson said. “So we made all of these putters with adjustable sole weights.

I see what you did there!

 

IMO, Odyssey is slipping with the color schemes in the last few years. They look cheap with blocks of black and white paint ("allignment aids, blah blah"). Obviously, the technology works for Tour players, and they sell well...I just prefer the classic steel looking Rossie's.

Nice insert but geez that's a lot of potential distractions at address.

 

Maybe they should consider releasing "spy" pics early next time to gauge feedback on what consumers think of the overall look.

 

I'm sure they have some solid data to justify the alignment schematics but we all know the majority of putter purchase decisions are emotional rather than logical.

 

They are keeping continental in business however ?

I can't wait to give these a roll! I've been waiting for something different from Odyssey for quite some time and this looks it. I love the comparison to the original White Hot face (which IMO is the all-time best Odyssey face). Price point isn't too ridiculous either.
