Tex1986
Epon probably is able to track/identify clubs more easily since they produce less volume. This generally should make it harder for fakes to sneak into the market.

Nessism
Who in their right mind would counterfeit a club that only sells a few hundred sets a year? no offense but I think you answered your own question. Sorry for my snarking reply. It's just that we get a lot of these threads where someone is questioning the legitimacy of some very low volume and specialized clubs that the counterfeiter guys wouldn't bother to copy because there is no real market for them. If you are still worried just purchase from a place like Fairway Golf or Tour Spec Golf that sell a lot of JDM clubs. If you are still worried just purchase from a place like Fairway Golf or Tour Spec Golf that sell a lot of JDM clubs. both Epon/Miura are counterfeited in China/ SE Asia where golfers are still less knowledgeable about equipment in general. I have seen first hand some fairly ridiculous fake clubs out there from every brand.

Kingcat990
Not many Personal's out there. Especially in that condition. I think they only made 500 sets. A company called AFD made a set similar to those called the Air Muscle. Similar... I personally don't think yours are fake. They look legit. roadtrippin4550
Everything looks good. The finish is correct, the number font looks right, the "forged" stamping is the proper font and correct size, the serial number is in the proper alpha numeric order and correct size. I would say they are legit. mbrown1833
Thank you, everyone, for your help. Much appreciated. I ended up picking them up from a great member here. If he sees the post I hope he doesn't mind-- I just have no idea with Japanese irons. Camerons I can look at all day and get probably 95% but I've been a Titleist loyalist for a long time and am now pretty deep in Japanese irons. So any bit helps-- I really appreciate it! Mizunofan
I bought my set of EPON AF-Tour blades from NOVOGOLF (one of the first authorized EPON dealers on the East Coast) and the only location the serial number was LASER-ETCHED (not engraved as in your pics) was on either the 6i or 7i. The Personals may be different, but I would definitely call Bill Cho at NOVOGOLF to confirm.
