Just contacted callaway customer service they confirmed that the deal is through the end of February and directed me to email retail@callawaygolf.com to explain the situation

 

So should we all do this if we are interested in buying?

Can't hurt to try I'm doing it bc I was hoping to purchase from a local small business instead of big box store and my current driver was not on the trade in list I already have a quote from golf galaxy based off PGA value guide so if it is close and not too much hassle I will go through callaway if not I'll just custom order through golf galaxy.

This deal is legit. I traded in three clubs tonight and received $477 in store credit after 50% enhancement and was able to purchase a GBB Epic custom order and I only spent $70.22 out-of-pocket

 

Note that they decreased the trade in values a little bit. For example, I traded in an M1. Online showed $160 value, in store book showed $145

Shop around for trade in deals locally because every golf shop has the scratch offs. I'm getting 260 for my M1.

Some places don't know about the promo, but they do know about the scratch off cards. If they are on this list, they should have cards. If they don't, explain that the regular item on the cards is 50% trade bonus. The dicks I went to didn't know about it and I had to ask for a scratch card to show them. Some places just suck at communicating to their staff.

So after reading this thread i grabbed a bunch of old stuff and made my way to GG. I was told there that they would only do a trade in bonus for the same catergory club being traded in. For example, the 50% bump would only apply to a fairway wood if I was buying a fairway wood. The other clubs I brought: driver, 1 additional FW, and a putter would have their normal trade in value. They also gave me lower values than the PGA guide. They said it was because of the condition the clubs were in. The GG staff was pretty firm in the trade-in policy that they shared with me. I decided to try my luck at Dick's which was up the street. The dude at Dick's valued all my clubs at a higher condition and gave me a 50% bonus for all 4. He was about to go on break so he ended up putting all my trade-in money on a Dicks' gift card. Didn't even end up buying anything.

 

TL;DR...Both Dick's and GG employees don't know what is going on, so shop around and you might get lucky.

I'm really starting to be annoyed by Golf Galaxy. Went to their "40-75% off storewide sale" yesterday (that was in the store where Golfsmith previously was located...I know, they bought them out) with additional coupons in hand that they've also inundated my emails with ($20 off purchases of $150 or more; $50 off $500 or more, etc). Seems they have a page-long list of 'EXCLUSIONS' and unless you buy some non-brand trinket, you won't get any 'discount'. Just a trick to get you in the store.

Tell them you want an epic scratch off card. The promo isn't exactly an advertised special. The epic scratch off cards are. The cards give 50% extra trade if you don't win the trip.

I asked about the scratch off card and they looked at me like I was crazy, they had no idea about that either. I pulled up the screenshot that someone posted earlier and they said they would look into it and let me know and that they might be able to use it but I'll find out tomorrow after they talk to the manager. Got my fingers crossed as I've been in the market for a new driver, still playing the Cobra Cell Silver :)

This is not a DSG/GG promotion. Callaway is doing this. You can go to Edwin watts, Roger Dunn, Golf Mart, or others and get the same 50% trade in bonus.

 

Is it only Dick's Sporting Goods/Golf Galaxy that limits the 50% bonus to 3 items?

Update: I was able to get the extra %50 as they received the scratch cards and they had them for a couple days but the guy I talked to a few days ago didn't know what they were but the manager was aware of it and he was there when I went today. I traded in 2 drivers and a set of Mizuno's, still got my Pings and Nike's lol. Ordered the 10.5 GBB Epic with HZRDUS stiff shaft as I got pretty good numbers with it. I'm a happy golfer

Just went through our local DSG received more than the trade in bonus they ended up adding an extra 40 bucks onto the clubs value in error so I ended up with $636 in trade value for a set of 714ap2s and 2 sm5 volleys walked out with a gift card after placing the custom order

Turns out the extra cash was tax on the trade in not sure if they were supposed to add this on but they did so I received an extra 6% on the trade in, could have been an error but it was a nice bonus.

I called a local golf galaxy and they did say that they are doing the 50% trade in enhancement for the driver and the fairway but forgot to ask if there was a limit on how many clubs. The 50% trade enhancement is for purchases on current Callaway iron sets throughout the month of April. Does not include Epic drivers.
