2/23 is launch day. Stores should have them in stock if they placed their order with the rep early enough.

I talked to Callaway on the phone today to check on the status of my order and unfortunately, they are out of lefty heads already and won’t be shipping next batch till mid March.

Received mine today. Initial impression--I've never had a putter sit as squarely as this does. My Bobby Grace is close, but this just sits really nicely...nice feel off the face (not surprisingly). Very nice putter.

Update--I love this putter. 24 putts today...67 at my home course in soggy conditions. I'm not dumb enough to put it all on the putter, but man, when something sits as squarely as this does, it installs a lot of confidence.

It’s an underrated aspect of putter design (although Scotty does focus on it a lot). I picked up a few of the Odyssey mallets the other day and the only one I felt sat right for me was the 2-Ball fang. A flow-neck Atlanta in silver with no lines would definitely be in play for me.

This is not true. I bought an Atlanta from the store in Chandler around lunch time today. They hadn’t even checked them into their inventory but, but ask and you shall receive. :)

 

They have the Portland also.

Interesting, their website is usually accurate. All of the Atalanta and Portland models say "ships from manufacturer" there is no "check store availability". Guess I'll be driving to mine tomorrow! :)

Just as an FYI, on a mallet because it has such a large sole, it’s very, very important to make sure you have the correct lie angle. Don’t be afraid to get a little bit of information from your local golf shop on what feels good to you. That is one of the details that Toulon will take care of for you on a Garage putter. If that head is not laying flat on the ground, but hitting on first on a corner, it will not be square.

 

So find a mallet similar in size to the Atlanta and find one that said square for you. Then you can have at the shop check Lie angle. Should help a bunch.

PGA Superstore in Houston had the Atlanta. Didn’t see the Portland. I ended up buying it and am going to cancel my backordere order with Callaway.

Definitely smaller than a 7. To be honest, at first glance I gravited toward the Portland and I really wanted to like it, but it just looked too small to me. These two putters also seemed to highlight just how much better a face balanced putter fits my stroke. It sounds stupidly simple but I can actually go straight back and straight through and am now striking the ball in the center of the putter face with much more regularity. I’m still skeptical about single bend shafts as I tend to find them difficult to line up properly, but I’m going to continue working with the Atlanta for awhile.

Aaannnddd...that guy was not informed it appears. Was in today and lo and behold they had a couple of the center shaft Indy's and a couple Portlands that had just arrived. But alas no Atlanta's yet but should be soon.
