Anyone remember the old STX putters?

I remember a kid that I used to play in tournaments with in high school had one and it legitimately felt like it was made out of a used tire. It made the White Hot insert feel "clicky" in comparison. I don't think there is anything comparable to those.

I had the greatest putting round of my life with an old stx center shafted putter with the soft black insert. Think it was 24 putts. On long putts though there was zero feel ...it was like hitting the ball with a marshmallow.

Clicky??? No idea which model that was, but the stx sync 3 with black insert was and still is the softest insert I've ever used. Putter was amazing. Wore mine out but buddy still has one. The sync 3 had a traditional style head. I now use a milled putter and can't think of any that will feel the same as the stx

I have one of these, STX Pro Fit 6, center shafted, longer (cut down from belly for arm lock), w/ weights and face kit. It has a super stroke Flatso 2.0 XL grip, installed

with flat part facing the hole. I also have an STX SS6, stock length / lie, black insert. Both are in good shape.

Used my STX Profit 6 today. Mine came stock at 35". I have the heaviest weights in it. My PING Ketsch is getting a make over by PING so I had to use the STX.

Amazing on fast greens for sure. Slow greens that were awful. Makes me miss mine.

Had one many moons ago. Great for maximum dwell time and took out the dimple effect that Pelz mentioned in his putting bible

Loved the feel of my Sync Tour Pro but could never get used to the shape. Have debated picking up a different style off the bay for a couple months now!

A buddy of mine has used one for years (he has 2 inserts - I think he has used the softest) and this season is the first for 10 years are so he is experimenting with other putters. That said he bought another STX but IIRC at least one is another STX but I think that is a milled carbon steel anser type.

remember? I still use mine, been draining putts for 15 year, why change. I found your post because my putter cover finally degraded after 10000 hours in the sun and rain. 
if anyone can share a link to a putter cover that will fit - i plan to use it for another 15 years
