So let me tell you how Awesome Lamont is...emailing and texting with him yesterday and confirm an order...boom he literally starts working on it before our conversation is even complete. Lamont doing work and actually communicating with his customers is another reason I’ll always be a fan & customer, let alone the bad azz putters he builds!

I don't think I ever posted this other MannKrafted I got. 

 

 

I did the paint fill again to make it pop but not sure if I'm gonna keep it. The putter is really nice, like really nice but mallets are not for me. Definitely either put this up as trade bait or sell to fund another putter.

I'm sure the one we designed is posted up here somewhere and he crafted a cool one for my daughter, but it's been a long time and my putting needs more inspiration so hope to come up with my next "forever" putter.

Oops, totally missed this question and never got back to the thread until recently, sorry.  Probably too late to matter, but it was carbon steel and an oil rubbed bronze, if I've got that right.  Those pics are pretty much the way it looked when it came.  It's developed a bit of a patina, but honestly came a super nice and dark bronze and has stayed consistently that, maybe a hair darker.  It will rub off with friction (nice shiny spot where my putter cover rubs coming off and going on, but I knew that going in and don't mind a bit).  I use an old "crap" Cameron Newport SS (hahaha) when the greens have anything resembling fertilizer on them or early, early spring when greens are wet/junky, take that Scotty! I modified my baby with a Superstroke putter grip, which was stupid, then sort of got sidetracked with other putter experiments.  Going back to basics with a LaMont project as of about 3 pm Central time today! Gives me something to look forward to in a month or two! Haven't talked to him in a long, long time - just like an old friend you haven't seen - picked right up and made for a great New Year's Eve afternoon. This evening? Well, my wife was smiling when she asked why I had a yardstick and two putters out on work table downstairs and whether that was related to me seemingly talking about LaMont out of the blue last night, lol.  I really need to clean up after myself.

Thanks to this thread and missing LaMont, the new baby is in the works! I've seen actual pictures of a barbed wire face.  Won't post anything specific about it or any pics until it arrives.  I'll just say I've "Got To Get This Putter Into My Life" and leave it at that! 😉

Nice I have a lack of black oxide putters but I like the contrast with the ball. That or the Blue Sapphire are nice finishes, need to look at more.

I like black or darker putters. Really like the copper finishes too, but didn’t want a shiny/bright copper finish.

Yea me and Lamont both kinda went stale on it I guess, I didn't wanna push by sending email after email, as I had told him from the outset I wasn't in any kind of rush to receive it. But last week we booked our first tee time of the season for this past Sunday, and it sparked me to reach out to touch base, and he said he just was looking at it wondering what had happened with this build... So its my bad for not keeping in better contact throughout the build, but being my first experience doing this stuff I was trying to tread lightly and not be a bothersome customer if you will. I'm very tentative in how I deal with people so it can be quite hard for me to get my point across or ask things of people sometimes, and I really didn't want to rub him the wrong way as I'm a fan of his and the work he does. And I understand hes running a tight ship and probably has a ton on his plate, between answering emails and working through builds with guys, and then of course all the actual putter building! So I was never worried about the status of it. 

 

Anyways its all good, we talked paintfil colors and I think were probably pretty close now.

That's fair kinda the same with me on one of my other putters, I'm planning on one from him after I move my MA/66LN and like you in no rush but still don't want to wait ages for one.
