Does this milling pattern produce a consistent feel and roll? Reason I ask is the general impact area on this putter is at the intersection of a bunch of different mill marks, and it seems the ball could be struck by a number of different sized milled areas.

I’ve never had any issues with this milling. It’s the second putter Lamont’s done for me and both had this same milling. Feels the same and rolls the same for me.

I think a lot of misinformation is shared about face milling in general. Show me one example of a ball getting "stuck" on any putter face.  I do understand what you are getting at but I don't think it would ever be noticeable.

It’s more of a question on feel. Probably imperceptible on short putts, so my question is more geared towards consistency on 40 footers. Does striking the ball in the center of one of the small triangles or diamond to the left of the site dot lead to a softer feel than striking it in the middle of the diamond to the right of the site dot?

Oh My! You all are putting way to much thought on the face milling.  Does it feel good and does it put a nice roll on the ball?

Same answer as above…never had any issues with this face milling. Always puts a great roll on the ball, feels excellent and one of the best putters (both of them) that I’ve owned. And I have a few customs.

Yes sir.  Stainless MA/66 with a long pipe.. Hand Softened/ rolled/ peened Cavity.
 

Trying a little different face mill on this one.

It seems like that would be incredibly difficult to do the paintfill on a cavity like that!

The design is his own...not sure of another maker who offers this as a design. Top much work to weld. The face is a light milling, I don't like the look or feel of smooth, but this isn't for off.
