This was on my doorstep today. WB Rattler XL Notchback with welded CS. Went with the blue sapphire torched finished and barbwire face milling. Also went with a faded torched neck. The finish looks unbelievable in person.

Love it moose. Definitely my favorite of Lamont's head shapes. I hope it rolls well for you. I'm sure it was worth the wait. Lamont is the man...

Haha, you know me..I can't let money burn a hole in my pocket, need to spend it on putters. LaMont did a great job on this project for me. The putter looks unreal. Hoping to test it out this weekend on the course.

 

As for what's next, I have two Xenon's being built right now and two other ideas on paper which I will hopefully wait on until next year, we'll see. Trying to figure out who should build them

Looking forward to LaMont making a new Yaupon style putter similar to one he made for me years ago under Sunset Beach. Can't wait!

Very cool--I think I saw a progress pic of this on his IG?

 

What's the head weight on this? Is it comparable in size to an odyssey 7?

I believe there are two sizes to the #7, it's larger than the smaller #7 for sure. I'm not an odyssey expert. It may be a bit larger than the bigger #7, but not sure. The design allows for much better face alignment. Lamont is the man! He did everything I wanted with the putter. This prototype is so so stable. Love it!

It's a beauty...congrats on the pickup. I asked him a few years ago about this kind of style (though more of a traditional #7 style), but never followed through. May need to see if I can make this my winter putter project!

Just got this one from Lamont today when I got home from visiting family all week. I'm super impressed with this putter, and the quality of the work. I'm surprised there aren't more pictures in this topic.

We worked on that for quite awhile a few years ago, still treasure the original sketches he drew and was kind enough to send me when he sent the putter. Labor of love and what a great guy. Had him make one for my daughter a couple years ago, it's awesome as well.
