Hzrdus black(yellow) alignment

I recently was fitted for and purchased an M1 440 with hzrdus black shaft. I feel like every shaft I have had has always had the name and graphics straight down the center at address. When playing this driver in the standard loft/lie setting the hzrdus points towards the target. Is this normal? Will it cause any issues?

No. But I'm guessing the shaft was gripped by someone who was playing it on the setting that would have the shaft graphic lining up normally, that or the adaptor was put on to fit whichever setting there was which would be less common. But at any rate performance should be the same

There will be marginal differences, whether you buy into the shaft spining theory. I used to get my shafts spined, but gave up ever since the adjustable drivers came to market.

You have the Hzrdus Yellow shaft then not Black

Correct you have the Hzrdus Yellow.

Great. Thought it felt a lot different. Not even sure how that got fuc&ed up. I'll be stopping at that shop very soon to figure this out.

Or the shaft may have been pured, put in the driver at your setting and then gripped to align with the head. That is how my Hzrdus Yellow is set up.

Sounds to me like it would fit you better than the Hzrdus Black would.

 

at that swing speed, you should be good with the 6.5 (X stiff)

 

negative AoA may be a problem w/ Hzrdus Black, which is already a low launch shaft.

I almost have the exact same stats as you and got fitted into the Yellow.

 

Side note: I couldn't get my spin down with it so I decided to hold off until I could get my AoA closer to 0 or positive. My fitter said I was basically maxed out on distance until I fixed it. Dispersion was the tightest of anything I tried though.

Whatever the shaft was, black or yellow, it brought my spin down from over 3000 to the mid 2000's. Or could have been the m1 440 vs r15. Who knows. Hit it great hope it continues in real life.

Are you the original owner or did you buy it off of someone? If it's the latter, I'd agree with the previous poster and say the previous owner had the shaft PUREd, or spined.

spoke to fitter me apparently it was the yellow he fit me in. Must be a case of being a simulator hero or just a bunch of off shots at the range. I am first owner

With an adjustable hosel this really shouldn't be that big of a mystery.

 

Either it's in an adjusted setting that rotated the shaft (perhaps draw or fade setting, +/- loft, etc.,

 

or the shaft was Pured (usually will have a little light blue sticker on it).

Turned out he had the head I wanted with wrong shaft and shaft with wrong head. Swapped em and apparently someone else wanted logo forward

Would to stout a shaft cause the ball to be pulled? Would it cause distance loss? It almost seems like if I don't go 110% at it I hit it shorter than my old driver. When I do go 110% it tends to go left.

 

I knew I should have not gone just based on the simulator.

Does it feel too stout to you? The stiffness of the shaft really doesn't have any significant direct contribution to the ball going left on you. However, different feels can cause different swings in some individuals. e.g. if it feels too stout that could potentially cause a swing change that could result in anything (left, right, etc..). But if that was the case, that would likely show up with the normal swing and not just the 110% swing (since the normal swing would load the shaft even less than the faster swing).

They are generally not the type of changes you would be aware of making.
